Lost Without My Phone….

Photo by Ylanite Koppens on Pexels.com

I lost my phone a week ago. I didn’t realize how much I needed my phone until it was gone. I couldn’t even count the times I reached for my phone, before I remembered I no longer had a phone, and the only thing that gave me a little comfort was it got turned off within minutes when I realized it was gone.

It wasn’t just my games, but it was a way for me to let everyone know I am okay as well as for myself to reach out to family and friends to make sure they were okay as well.

I did reach out on fb, but not everyone is on fb. I am laughing, because a few people have referred to fb to a few words I care not to retype.

I am looking out at blue skies and thinking it’s time I get back to traveling. At least online. I believe I was in Maine last time, but I will double check. I will  also get back to learning how to start letting my creativity help me and my family as well as encourage  others to follow their dreams as well. It’s time to see if anyone likes my craft enough to pay for them?

I know one day I am going to have to go through all of my completed projects with their info, (size, color, how to care for them, and the amount I am going to charge for them) but for right now they are just my art work.

I also decided I didn’t want my online shop to just be my idea. I will have each item I am going to sell posted on my shopify account (where anyone can buy them) and also on my blog where anyone can request a project in a different color or size.

I would even agree to stitch a granny square blanket, but that would cost a little more than my regular blanket due to the amount of time.

Oops, I got to talk (typing) and I need to get to traveling. I am off  to Massachusetts. I can’t wait to find out what this state is about and the things that they do there.

My Time..

I never thought I would be the one who would be counting calories to lose weight. I lost over twenty pounds in three months, but my doctor isn’t impressed. I know losing two or three pounds a week may not be the best for everyone, but I am good at losing these unwanted pounds slowly.

There was a time when I lost a lot of weight quickly, enough where I could shop a few sizes smaller. The problem with that was – it came back so fast that I got depressed, and stopped working out altogether.

I am going to lose this weight, but I am going to do it my way. I am walking, dancing, and working  every day. Yes, I do have a sweet snack once in a while. It isn’t every day or even once a week, but when I have the taste for something sweet. I enjoy my treat.

I am at a stand still right now with my weight loss, due to a little pain, but I am not letting that stop me from doing chair aerobics. I believe as long as you are moving, and focus on the ending project it doesn’t matter how long you get there as long as you are fighting to cross that line.

I am a winner. I may have to cross that line last, but it’s my race and it’s my time. I also decided to start writing more about my craft, start building my confidence about it, and by the time I am ready to open up my shopify account. I will be ready to enjoy crossing that line as well…

Starting Over….

I am Not sure when I lost track of “Me,” but somehow that is what I did. I was so proud of the 23 pounds I lost, but my doctor didn’t see it my way. I know she was explaining something important, but I was too upset to pay attention. Yes, that was beyond wrong.

That was a few days ago and I can either stay in the past or I can move on. I am looking ahead to a better me and leaving the old sad girl behind. I started a 25 push-up challenge for 30 days. I know I am a few days late, it was 25 this morning and another 25 before I have my last cup of water for today.

I have also stepped up on drinking water. Hot lemon water with a little honey, turmeric, and ginger makes drinking water a little easier. I may be cheating a little, but I am drinking more water.

I am creating more and running out of space, it’s time to get to selling my projects. I also realized a few things?

  1. I enjoy creating crochet projects..
  2. I like to make something personal for anyone who likes homemade crochet items.
  3. I am NOT ALL ABOUT $$. Yes, I would like to have a little extra spending $$ in my pocket. The thing is I know there is a person on the other side of the computer screen and why not get that person in on their special items..

I am on the hunt for another anime while I work on my next project…..

Back 2 Me…..

I can not believe Christmas is within two weeks

and I have either lost the gifts I have already made

or I ran out of yarn.

I wish I had time

(which I don’t, because it’s an hour and a half to & from Michael’s)

to go and get more yarn.

***********************************************************************************

I cannot believe I have been trying to type out my thoughts, (as you can tell from the start of my post, but I got sidetracked) because I had so much I wanted to talk about.  From rude remarks from customers on how our store is running low on items to the lines are always so long.

I just smiled and apologized before walking away. This one group of people caught me at the wrong moment. I was bothered by so many people without masks and had to stop working in my area to move out of their way, when I got a smart remark  about my store.

Customer  :  This store normally has a lot to choose from, you’re not going out of business are you?

Me :  Nope we are good, but today is December 24,  the last day before Christmas, and we sold all the good stuff. There’s alwas Target or even a Wal – Mart. Can I help you with anything else?

It was a good thing I had on a mask, because they would have seen my smile as they walked away. I am like, you had 11 months and 24 days to  get a gift for anyone and everyone you cared to shop for.

I was happy when I saw the lights and the signs of Christmas around my town. I didn’t get the chance to walk around and take as many pictures as I liked. I am grateful I got some and in my book, some is better than none.

I still have so much I want to type out, but today is Christmas day and it’s a day to spend with my family. I got up eating cake and now I am about to go and get another piece of cake. Then you know homemade cake is best without frosting? At least that’s how we like it.

The best thing about today being the 25th is, Christmas is over, and my hours are going back to normal. YES!!!!! I even worked out my extra time in the morning. I can’t wait for next week to start, so I can get back to me..

A Happy Ending….

I went to sleep working on a new crochet project and awoke early to continue to work on the same project. I got tired of trying to find a new anime, so I went back to one I knew I already liked. I am once again watching ‘Yi-Gi-Oh”. I normally just watch it as I get ready for work, since we no longer have cable, and I’m watching Roku now.

Now don’t get me wrong I actually enjoy watching my favorite Hulu shows on my TV screen, but I am not going to lie. I AM SAD, because I can no longer watch the ladies from ‘The Real.’ I realized I wasn’t watching live TV other than their show wow..

Thanksgiving is a time to spend with family and friends. Close friends anyway. I started cooking a little late this year, but since I am only making two quiche I think we will be okay.

I just finished eating a big breakfast (after eating light all week, my son asked if I was cooking breakfast, and all I could do was say, “yes.”) I started thinking about a positive outlook and “Carole and Tuesday” came to mine.

Today is Sunday 11/28/20011 and I finally finished editing my book as well as putting an end to this post. I got sidetracked, but what’s new…. I cannot believe I have been up for five hours and haven’t stopped to eat or even think about enjoying a cup of coffee. I am going to really enjoy that now……
