I went to sleep working on a new crochet project and awoke early to continue to work on the same project. I got tired of trying to find a new anime, so I went back to one I knew I already liked. I am once again watching ‘Yi-Gi-Oh”. I normally just watch it as I get ready for work, since we no longer have cable, and I’m watching Roku now.

Now don’t get me wrong I actually enjoy watching my favorite Hulu shows on my TV screen, but I am not going to lie. I AM SAD, because I can no longer watch the ladies from ‘The Real.’ I realized I wasn’t watching live TV other than their show wow..

Thanksgiving is a time to spend with family and friends. Close friends anyway. I started cooking a little late this year, but since I am only making two quiche I think we will be okay.

I just finished eating a big breakfast (after eating light all week, my son asked if I was cooking breakfast, and all I could do was say, “yes.”) I started thinking about a positive outlook and “Carole and Tuesday” came to mine.

Who Are You?

I am surprised I let that door open and my guard down. I have been so careful, not getting too close to anyone, nor letting anyone getting close to me. 

I am not going to lie, that my feelings were hurt when someone I called my friend has turned that friendship to their own gain. I guess I am going to have to start building that wall again, a little stronger, and will take longer to let the next person get closer to me.

The old me would have closed everyone out and stayed hidden away, but the new me says that’s not who I am. I will not run nor will I keep to myself. I cannot and will not be afraid to trust someone who may or may not be my friend.

I may help when there is a need, because that is what friends do. Then again if that same request is repeated over and over to a point where I am your answer to your request. I am NO LONGER A FRIEND.

It’s cool, because I am cutting myself off. Just like that Kenny Rogers song https://youtu.be/7hx4gdlfamo  from the movie ‘The Gambler’ – “you have to know when to hold them, know when to fold them, and know when to walk away.” (I really should watch the video to get the words correctly and not just go by from what I remember)

It is sad that you are now a passing friend, but all in all it’s a good thing. I am not turning against you all together and one day we may talk this out and try to start over, but it all depends on you. You may not have seen your mistake or thought nothing of it. 

I will wait and answer your next call and see what the outcome will be? Will we start or will we be passing friends. Passing friends are just people who exchange small talk if seen out and about and keep it moving.  I cannot wait to see who you are or who you will be?

My Oven Cakes….

I finally made something from Tia’s book, but mine turned out a little different. It was still good. I got tired after all the mixing and then I just remembered to add in the fruit, but I didn’t realize it went on top after the oven cakes were done.

I did learn a few things  when following directions:

  1. Don’t be in a rush, because a step may have been overlooked.
  2. Just like when you go to the grocery store, never cook when you are hungry, because you may do too much when it’s not needed.
  3. Read each step more than once and then read as you go.

All in all I can’t wait to try another recipe with a good cup of coffee…

The Sohma Family: Momiji & Akito…

I cannot remember how many times I watched Fruit Basket, but when I watched Momiji Sohma realized his curse had been broken. He was in wonder of how free he felt , but also sad at the same time. Akito Sohma (the head of the family) realized he was no longer attached to her at the same moment and rushed to see him. She didn’t understand what was happening and was surprised when she was asked to go home.

Not Giving Up.

I know I had planned to get up to clean, but instead I picked up my yarn. I will get to my house work in time, but right now I like to enjoy the sun. I did take time to ask for help and with any luck I will have a positive answer.

 I was afraid to ask the question, especially to a person who doesn’t know who I am, and may not want to help me. There are times when you have to step out of your comfort zone and ask that question and hope for the best. The answer is either yes or no, but you will never know unless you ask.

I got the idea to do the same “V” stitch and turn it into something different. I am thinking about making it an all around surf that can be turned into a hat. At least that is my idea only time will tell if this turns into what I am seeing in my head.

I also decided to give my book my full attention. I also decided I do not want to use my name and didn’t realize it was going to be so hard to find that new name.
