Eyes Open……

How many times am I going to open a closed door, and realize my own words,

“I AM MORE THAN WHAT THEY SEE.”

I had stopped working on this post, because I couldn’t go past the words I typed, the words I thought, and the words I said out loud “I AM MORE THAN WHAT THEY SEE”.  I thought I should add to this. Two days later I am at work, listening to my gospel music, and really starting paying attention to the words.

I’ve heard this song countless times, danced to it, and listened to it in the  background sound as I moved about my day. But, yesterday it had me in tears. Kirk Franklin’s “Smile” https://youtu.be/Z8SPwT3nQZ8?si=hqRGNGMaj3vf8lPV

I had to stop and think, am I going back to punishing the herd to be seen and playing follow the leader or am I going to put myself first.

**sidenote : Last Sunday I offered one person a ride to service, because I can have 1 person ride free with me. She asked if another person could ride with us, “no, because I don’t have extra tickets. I only work two days a week and can barely get bus tickets for myself. (Also the first thought that came to my mind was. This same person got a ride home from service, but left me there and you want me to offer her a ride?) I realized I reached out almost begging someone to be my friend.

Then I realized  something else, I was going to have to stop going to my Church group, because they have upped the dues and I’m not going to put myself out to try and be in a group that really doesn’t see me….

Eyes open and holding a Smile. I know my self worth and it’s time I show it, not to people, but to myself.

My One Day…

Someone asked, “How do you like working at your job”? My eyes opened wider,  and a fake smile crossed my face.  I thought I was going to give a generic answer, because I knew they didn’t really want the truth.  I wasn’t going to lie and give an answer they wanted to hear.

  1. A job is a place where you go to give your service, share your dreams, or just follow orders and you get paid for your time.
  2. A career is a place you go to after some training and you enter that world to be paid for what you learned.

What  came to mind was a question of my own. What is a job? A job is where you work and be able to pay your bills:

  • Rent/mortgage
  • Utilities ~ lights, gas, water etc
  • Phone
  • Internet/Wi-Fi/Cable
  • Insurance ~ health,life,car, home
  • Daycare (no longer me 😊 😢)

Non~Bills:

  • Food
  • House Hold items – laundry, bath, and dish soap.
  • Cleaning supplies – kitchen, bathroom, floors, garden, front & backyard etc
  • Pets
  • Hobby
  • Vacation Trips

I would love to say my job pays for all of this, but that would be a lie. I cannot, so going back to the original question. My answer is, “No, I do not like my job.”

Then I asked myself a question. If the place where I am working isn’t allowing me to survive, why am I still working there?

I am back on the job hunt, but secretly I do not want to be. I am so done with working for another heartless company.

I may have too until I am able to set my dream free. I believe in miracles and hard work and One Day…..

Mark 11:22-25 NIV

[22]  “Have faith in God,” Jesus answered. [23] “Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, ‘Go, throw yourself into the sea,’ and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them. [24] Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. [25] And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.”

Gotta Frog Again….

I can’t believe I am frogging another blanket (oh, frogging is taking the yarn out of a blanket that’s already made). I went to Michael’s to get some more red yarn, but they didn’t have the color I needed. A.K.A the reason why I am frogging another project.

I may not be able to get this blanket bigger before Christmas, but it will be a throw big enough for someone who stands over 6ft tall. I can always add onto it if I can’t give this gift in a different size, but only time will tell.

Saying, “Thanks”….

I spent my special day on a light shopping day, getting my favorite coffee (even though it wasn’t made right), and my favorite breakfast  (brussel spouts from my mother)

My favorite anime was finally dubbed again (meaning it is in English) crocheting and enjoying my day. A special sweet treat came and I had dinner with my son. I am still smiling and feeling loved. I am blessed and happy.

I would like to Thank everyone who took time out of their day to say, “Happy Birthday”. I am grateful and I hope everyone enjoy the rest of their weekend.
