Not Going Backwards..

I found myself falling back into my slow steps, steps that will not help me keep my word, and that isn’t good. I came home with the thought I would work on my book after my coffee, but my favorite online game (Township) was opened before I remembered I was supposed to start working on a post.

I am trying to recall the anime or cartoon show I saw on HBO where the daughter asked her father what the word, “procrastine” meant, and he was trying to explain what her mother had said about him. Then the little girl said she thought it meant being lazy.

Procrastinate : to keep delaying something that must be done, often because it is unpleasant or boring:

In my case I enjoy creating new stories from something I saw or finding an answer to a question or two. I am not going to lose who I am and the person I want to be. What’s the point of dreaming if it stays a dream?

I am watching one of my favorite anime, My Neighbor Totoro and I am smiling. I am also thinking about my next trip to Charlotte Yarn. https://charlotteyarn.com/ where you can not only buy yarn, but they have classes, and where we come together to crochet or knit. I have an hour left, and I need to work on my book, and eat an early dinner.

My Next Chapter..

People are talking about shopping at Black owned businesses, but what about shopping at a Christian business?

I shop, never really thinking about the company or their background. I only saw the deals and if I can get to it by the bus.

Then you hear what some big companies are doing and without realizing it, these companies are hiding a dark side, and it makes you start having second thoughts about shopping there.

I never really shopped at Hobby Lobby. The one time I was there, I kind of just walked through, because I didn’t see any brand names I knew.

I keep telling myself I should try something new, but yarn costs too much to be taking a chance on. Then by chance someone gave me some yarn and to my surprise most of it came from Hobby Lobby.

I wish I had kept the wrapping, because this yarn reminded me of Caron’s simply soft yarn. I really enjoyed working with it. Yes, it is yarn from Hobby Lobby.

I also decided I am going to take a chance on my gift. I am not the best person who knows how to crochet, but I LOVE doing it. It is about time I start getting paid for what I enjoy doing.

I will help others crochet too, because I am tired of hearing:

  • I can’t crochet
  • It’s too hard to crochet
  • I use to do it, but have no time now

I want to prove everyone wrong and show them how to enjoy crocheting a little at a time. I found out that Hobby Lobby is a Christian company, so I am going to add this store to my shopping list. I can’t wait to see my next chapter.
