Something Forgotten…

I was working on my aqua blue blanket and was ready to join more yarn to it, reached for my scissors, and my hands came out of my bag empty. My needle case, with my scissors inside, wasn’t in my bag.

I am going to add a pair of nail clippers to my cane so I will always be able to cut my yarn if I ever leave my scissors at home again. Then again, I should just pack my bag the day before and double-check the next day before walking out of the door.

On the Hunt Again..

When your hours have been cut and you can barely finish your job. The question you ask yourself is:

  1. Do I take a break and rest for a few minutes?
  2. Do I push through the pain and finish what I started?

I gave a short laugh and clocked out. I know I am given two breaks, and I am taking one. Why should I push myself for a company that doesn’t care about me?

I am grateful for this job, but I am still saying, “Thank You Jesus for this job, but thank you for a better one.”

I had to cut back on my words, when a non-believer told me I should stop looking for a job online, and go work at a call center. This one I know is known for a high turnover, and I just told her I am good. I will find the right job for me.

Philippians 1:3 NIV [3] I thank my God every time I remember you.  https://bible.com/bible/111/php.1.3.NIV

People will tell you what you should do, not caring about who you are or what you want to do. There’s a saying, “think before you act,” and I will always do what’s best for me. I don’t play follow the leader anymore.

Some people think they are helping, but it’s up to you to do what’s best for you. People will not pay your bills. People will not help you if you are ever in need. Okay, let me reword that, not everyone is out to hurt you, and you need to know who is real and who isn’t.

Time to eat before I get back to my job hunt.

Didn’t Finish an Order..

I wish I had remembered to take a picture of the 15 scarfs I was able to make. I was short 8, but I did good with just two weeks to make them.

Someone asked how much did I make buy giving my craft away? I was really confused, because I said I was donating them to a homeless shelter.

I wasn’t asked to do this, so why would I get paid. I couldn’t offer any physical help, but I thought I could at least help a few people stay warm when they are outside of the shelter.

Help comes in different ways and you don’t always have to be paid with money. Maybe next year I will learn how to do hats and more time to work on them.

Hot Lemon Water

I may not be able to enjoy this drink every morning, but I am happy I can enjoy it when I can. I remembered the first time I tired it. The lemon made me close my eyes and the ginger overpowered the turmeric and black pepper.

The second time I made it, it had too much black pepper, and I couldn’t even get past two sips. I didn’t give up and now it’s just right. I add a little honey when my throat is hurting as I did this morning. If you like a hot and spicy drink try this.

Enjoy. Bye IV Now, LD

A Long Crochet Project..

I am so over crocheting scarves. It doesn’t matter how long I am crocheting, I don’t seem to be getting any closer to the number of 23, but I don’t want to give up. Then I thought, what if I just worked a few granny squares together, and I can count that as one scarf done.

I have a bag full of granny squares. It took a few moments to get the right colors, the same yarn, and the right amount to make a scarf. The correct number is 20 if you wanted to know.

It was a good idea, until I remembered it takes a few to stitch each square together, and then I am going to have to crochet the border. I don’t know what I was thinking. I have 11 done, and was told I would be given two, but so far that is an empty number. Oh well, let me get back to crocheting. I have 5 days to come up with 13 more scarfs…
