My Cotton Candy Shawl

My eyes want to close, but my mind keeps adding more things I want and need to do. There just isn’t enough time in a day to do everything I want to do. I want to start filling my new book with each new project.

I wanted to make a cotton candy shawl and a butterfly throw. I thought that was just an idea, but when I was in Hobby Lobby I saw these two yarns.

I found a few crochet shawl ideas on youtube and there were a few I liked. This is the one I chose. If you like it, try it. I have one more skein of yarn to go and mine will be done.

My Lazy Day….

Tired eyes want to close, the yawn that follows agrees, but I really want to reorganize my room. I had it all planned out where I was going to start, how my new look was going to be changed for the better, but reality had a different plan.

With the sunlight coming through the window and a quick glance at an unfinished cross stitch project and you start thinking of something else I need to do.

What to do? What do I want to do? What do I need to do? I am laughing, because I am going to work on my cross stitch project. This is a gift that is already a month late.

I am restarting on things I have to do. I’ve already ordered a new cane and a book. I don’t know why I don’t have energy today or well I am going to enjoy my lazy day…

Life is so hard and it’s only going to get harder as you grow older. I am over 50 and I wish someone had stressed on the point to “Work smarter and Not enjoy your youth,” because I should have been saving instead of spending.

Then again I should have followed my dreams and worked harder to set them free. I put aside what I wanted, to go for the quick cash, and thirty plus years later I am paying for it.

There comes a time when we stop and look back and see all of our mistakes and wish we could go back and fix them. Today we see the young doing the same things and we try to tell them to change their steps. I get, “You sound just like my grandmother.”  I say, “thank you,”  because we don’t want you to make the same mistakes we did. We want you to be better.

I am Smiling for the next chapter in my life. It may have taken me longer than it should have, but I am stepping out in my best chapter. I will not be bugging you to better your life, you will realize my wordsworth later, but as for me? 

I AM MOVING FORWARD and LEAVING MY PAST in the PAST……………

I decided I’m going to drink something healthy every night. Tonight’s drink is hot milk with turmeric honey and a little bit of black pepper.
