Not Stopping….
I wonder why people donât believe in putting a leash on their dog. I decided to start my ânew meâ by walking in the morning before the sun makes it too hot to walk. It wasnât an easy walk, because I am walking with a boot on my left leg. I was taking each step slow and steadily, as I listened to my music walking down the street, and then it came to a sudden stop when I heard the barkering.
Okay, my walk was cut short, but I did a chair aerobics routine and called it a day. I had planned on dancing before I called it a night, but tired eyes closed before I could set that planned into action.
That dog may have cut my walk short, I wasnât going to let it cut my workout short, because I will be a better me. I also decided to write down my journey.

To the Beach I go…
I am finally going to the beach. True it isnât an overnight stay or somewhere I dreamed of going, and I cannot actually walk on the beach. I have to wear a boot when I am out in about. Then again I am still walking with a cane, so walking on the beach isnât going to be easy anyway. Not at all this time.
**side note: If you are over fifty and fall. Donât act like you are still in your teens, get up, go back to work, and act like you are not in pain. Take it from me when I say, âtake a few days off with your feet raised on a pillow and keep it icedâ.
I was happy for the day trip to the beach. I admit I was almost thinking about calling it off, because I wouldnât be able to move freely.
Nope not letting that stop me. I am not sure what part of Myrtle Beach I will be going to or what to think. Is it just a beach with a lot of hotels or what?

I was told to bring a beach towel and a chair and I was thinking to myself, âYou know I have never been to a beach before and you know I am out of work, so how would I have those things?â I then enform that I would be on my own as if I didnât already know. I also started thinking what can I bring for the ride there, and so my beach list begins:
- Yarn for a small crochet project. Well, I was thinking about bringing two. The blanket I am working on now, for the bus, and a smaller project for when I find somewhere to sit out on the beach boardwalk.
- I will have my pink headphones, and a portable charger.
- A notebook I got on amazon. (When I find it, I put it in a bag somewhere)
- I know I will eat a big breakfast, bring lots of snacks, and get dinner before getting back on the bus. Oh I will bring a few bottles of water .
- I will have a good timeâŚ

Rethinking how I Crochet…
They say, âWhen one door closes, another door opens,â and I know that is true. Then again my door was always half open and half closed. I could see and imagine a happy life, but the âunknownâ was preventing me from opening the door completely.
I have been crocheting for years and when some friends asked if I could teach them I said, âYes,â and told them the items they were going to need. I was confident I could teach them, but I was beyond wrong. The only thing I was able to teach them was how to start it and hold the needle.
I didnât want to give up and neither did they, but after two more days they only were able to get one row. They gave up and no matter how much I tried to encourage them, they didnât want to try again.
I started thinking maybe just knowing how to crochet wasnât enough, so I put it aside and gave up on teaching. I am out of work for three weeks (due to a fall at work) and I thought it was a good idea to teach what I love and thatâs crochet.

I canât wait until I get some more crochet hooks and then I will be signing up. I want to learn more and maybe one day I can teach what I have learnedâŚâŚ.
A True Smile
Time to get back to the world of words. I cannot believe I stopped doing one of the few things I enjoy doing. I was playing follow the leader and that leader wasnât helping me get to the top, but barely keeping me above ground.
Every day was just like the last. You get up, get ready for work, come back tired, and you do it again. You tell yourself today will be different, you know what you have to do, but you are still playing that video over and over.
I am tired of watching that show. It’s time for something, âNEWâ. I am thinking about one of my favorite movies, âSister Act. I was thinking about the 2nd one, when Ms. Whoopi Goldberg was talking to the students, trying to encourage them to become a choir, well be more than what they thought they could be.
It is NOT too late for me to get back on track. I will write/type (rather I am writing a short story or working on my book) every day, I will crochet every day (I am going to get a certificate to be able to teach what I love), and I am already creating notebooks every day on bookbolt.com
