Jumble Words….

Photo by Jacub Gomez on Pexels.com

I got this morning not really feeling anything, but I did give my ‘thanks for waking up, in my right mind, and somewhat healthy.’ Once my eyes were fully open and I saw the sun lighting the sky, I reached for my phone. I can remember when I would have reached for the remote control or to remove my cat from my person. (I never understood why they had to sleep on me)

Anyway, I noticed someone had liked something I wrote on my blog. I may not follow everyone who is following me or read everyone’s post more than once. Sorry, but I am going to work on changing that ‘me’ point of view. Not to get side-tracking, because I really want to add on, but we all know there is a reality when one isn’t online.  It doesn’t matter how nice you are, one can’t live without paying a bill or two and I just did what I said I wasn’t going to do.

Anyway, I clicked on “Conversation on finding and loving who I am,” and the word “Grateful,” along with a picture of a pen on top of a book caught my attention. Those words got me moving as I got through my morning cleaning, gathering my Bible, study book, as well as a book I bought more than 8 years ago. Along with my phone and a cup of hot water as I read on the patio,

I am not making any sense, because I am typing as I sometimes talk, which is way too fast. I am going to just make a list and maybe that will help clear up my jumble words.

  1. I don’t just want to read the Bible and think about what I have read. I wanted to write down what I got for the Word and even write down questions. I have gone through the Bible to find an answer for whatever question I may have had. I also get online, ask my church family and friends.
  2. I have a patio where I could enjoy fresh air, see the beauty that is here, and the comfort of being able to go inside when needed.
  3. I always like drinking something hot when it’s a little cold. (Today it’s hot water as I read the Word. I am reading the book of Samuel)
  4. If I buy a book or get a positive book I will  read it to the end.

I bought this book eight or more years ago. It will no longer stay on a shelf taking up space, I will read something every day until I have read all 569 pages…

  1. NEVER GIVING INTO DOUBT ~ I KNOW  WHO I AM ~ NO FEAR!!!!

Service starts in thirty minutes, so I better get something to eat, and enjoy the Word online. My church is open and although I would like to go and be there in person. I am just NOT ready. There are a few people who have asked me to come, said they would come and pick me up, but they aren’t listening to me.

Some have said my faith isn’t strong, because I shouldn’t be fearful of getting a sickness when God’s Word is stronger. I am so tired of people telling me what I have and don’t have, because I know who I am and DO NOT have to explain anything to anyone.

I am listening to “Take Me to the King,” by Tamela Mann and every word is how I am feeling now..

And I am GOOD…..

I am laughing, because if I were to ask , ‘ who was Dorothy and Toto?” I know anyone who has seen the movie “The Wizard of Oz”  would automatically think about a girl and her dog who came from the state of Kansas and taken to a magical place called Oz.

Yes, I am on my way to Kansas, but I am looking to see what this state is about. What is there to do and see? (At least   beyond the world of sports) …..

Hidden Gems in KANSAS/Things To Do In Kansas  Jan 30, 2021

Kristen and Sam  Day 3-5 of our road trip to Dener brings us to see some hidden gems in Kansas! Our first stop is in Wichita Kansas to see the Keeper of the Plains! Day 4 brings us to see Mushroom Rocks State Park (Brooksville, KS), Little Jerusalem Badlands State Park (Oakley, KS), and Monument Rocks State Park (Oakley, KS). We hope that this video gives you slime ideas on things to do in Kansas! This is one of our favorite videos that we have EVER shot! {}

#1  When I first typed  Kansas on youtube a musical group kept on popping up. Never heard of ‘Kansas the band’. Then there were sports and more sports. I really was ready to stop my search, but I am so glad I didn’t do it. This video started with  a short and sweet information about who they were and what the video was going to be about. They talked about a statue called ‘The Keeper of  the Plains,’ and saying it’s a COOL  statue doesn’t say it is strong enough. (at least for me)

I agree with Kristen, when she said she never saw anything like the rocks in  Mushroom Rocks State Park ,’ but those were some interesting rocks. And, the tree that grew on top of a big rock?

They did show some of the driving to and from places, I would have liked to have seen a little more, but some was better than none. They did say it was a lot of dirt roads.

** If I ever decided to go visit this state. I know I wouldn’t want to go in the summertime, because it may be  too hot.  So maybe around April or early May. I was about to go search out another video, but it is after 10am and I haven’t had my coffee yet, so I am done for now.

I like that statue so much I thought I would get a little more info on it…

{} Sculpture by Blackbear Bosin

A Kansas Road Trip Idea, Nine Stops Worth Your Time  Jan 7, 2021

Road Trip Daydreams  This video is on a Kansas Road Trip Idea nine stops worth your time.  This trip travels East and has travelers stop in Kansas City, Fort Leavenworth, Western, Topeka, Wamego, Nicodemus, Castle Rock, and Fort Wallace. This road trip can be done in three or four days. {}

** I was still curious about the state of Kansas when I looked at one more video, but now I am going to fix my coffee and watch ‘One Piece.’  I haven’t given up looking for a new anime, but until then……

What can I say, “I am crazy about one Roronoa Zoro – The Pirate Hunter.”

#3  It might be a girl thing, but can you tell why I clicked onto this video? One little word – ‘Shopping.’  I really haven’t been  able to shop like I would like to and I no longer like window shopping, because I feel sad when I can’t buy anything. It is different when you are online and looking at places one can’t actually shop there.

I saw a few retail stores and a restaurant that are in my area as well as new stores. I was amazed that the first shopping center was so big. One could get lost there, but what a cool place to get lost in.

The neighborhood in between shopping centers had nice looking buildings and the different areas one could walk, was nice as well. This video didn’t have any music in it, but that was cool. I was able to continue to listen to my gospel music as I worked on a granny square watching the shops I wish I could go in…

# 4  I know this video is only about 30 seconds, but this young lady was brave enough to play a song for something she believes in. I wish I could press LIKE a 100 times, but it only allowed me to do it once.

** I am going to stop and fix myself a cup of tea and read a Jude Deveraux book called, “The Maiden,” and come back to Kansas once again……

(Wed Sep 1st) The book I was so into, “The Maiden,” was a book I had read before. I just wished I remembered I didn’t care for the ending. I  haven’t been to the library in a minute, but I may have too. Anyway it is 8 o’clock time for 1 more video before I call it a night.

** I also wished I hadn’t drunk that hot tea knowing it will make me sleepy. One of these days I am going to figure out why I get more tired after drinking a cup of hot tea. Oh it was ginger & strawberry….

KANSAS STATE CAPITOL VISITOR CENTER State Capitol in Kansas, USA 2021//Wandering in Topeka City Feb 5, 2021

 Khristine MyxWorld   Visiting one of the historical places in Topeka Kansas the State Capital. This state is a museum inside, but due to the pandemic we’re not able to go inside since it was closed when we went there.{}

#5  It took me 18 minutes to find this video. I could have done without the music. The ride to the capital was okay, I liked it best when the camera showed what wasn’t on the road. There were some cool trees in front of the Capitol Building.

***Side Note – I was thinking about looking for another video, but my eyes are so ready to close. The price one pays when one has to get up early to go to work, but I am going  to sleep early….

I am done trying to find a video on interesting things to do in Kansa, so I decided to ask google a question: What is there to do in Kansas in 2021?

  1. https://www.visitkc.com/visitors/events/annual-events-kansas- city#:~:text=Taking%20place%20virtually%20in%202021.%20Head%20to%20Kansas,live%20demonstrations%2C%20music%2C%20vintage%20cars%2C      –     Taking place virtually in 2021. Head to Kansas Speedway for fast-paced NASCAR action  — plus, with two weekends each year, fans get a double dose of high-octane fun. Held in Excelsior Springs, this event explores the culture, glamor and history of the Roaring ‘20s with street artists, live demonstrations, music, vintage cars, fashion and more.
  2.  https://www.greatwolf.com/blog/things-to-do-with-kids-kansas-city/   www.greatwolf.com  > blog > things-to-do-with-kids
  • Great Wolf Lodge. Check in at Great Wolf Lodge and water park, where kids can explore and adults can kick back. Offering so much more family fun than a regular hotel could ever provide, our Kansas City location boasts 8 water slides, plenty of kids activities, free wifi, a fitness center for adults, and so more. LEGOLAND and SEA LIFE. These big-name attractions  are a big deal, and if you’ve never been, you should go! Located  next to each other, the  LEGOLAND Discovery Center offers a factory tour, rides, building opportunities, and opportunities, and a 4D theater with lego movies.

It’s time to end my stay in Kansas. I found some interesting places to see and some videos fun to watch. Time to get to reorganizing my room…. One doesn’t have to buy something new to always make a place look new. It’s funny just by changing the furniture can get a totally new look….

**** One day I am going to figure out how to get what I type in google doc to look the same on wordpress, but until then I hope my heart comes through anyway. I really need some coffee and get back into reality… May everyone have a safe and fun weekend….

I want to SCREAM at EVERY woman

 who shops in the young adult section

   to stop saying,

 â€œI don’t know why this doesn’t fit? It is my size,”

And then look at me as if I am crazy.

How about shop in the women’s section

 and maybe you can find something that fits,

because the section you are in is meant for those

who may not have had a child or two.

Now don’t get me wrong,

not everyone has gained all that much weight,

but why would you want to be wearing something

a twenty year old is wearing,

when you are way past fifty?

Someone had asked me a question

and they didn’t like my answer.

Sorry, but not sorry –

just because you can get into an outfit,

doesn’t mean that outfit is meant for you.

If there is more of your person showing,

then that outfit isn’t making you look good,

 just showing off your fat.

Online Traveling #15: Iowa..

{} Iowa US State

 Description  Iowa, a midwestern U.S state, sits between the Missouri and   Mississippi of rolling plains and cornfields. Landmarks in the capital, Des Moines, include the gold-domed, 19th-century State Capitol Building, Pappajohn Sculpture Park and Des Moines Art Center, noted for its contemporary collections. The city of Cedar Rapids’ Museum of Art has paintings by native Iowan Grant Wood. – Google {}

I am a little curious about this state. I am NOT a sports person, but I hear people talking about Iowa State and I wonder if they are talking about basketball or football – a college team or a pro team?  I don’t think there is a baseball team. (let me ask google that question?)

“Wow,” I am surprised there isn’t any major pro sports team in the state of Iowa. I just learned something new. I did see more videos  about sports and fairs. When I first saw the word state fair. I automatically thought of two movies  –

  1. State Fair – Yes, I know this movie was out before I was born, but thanks to  TCM – Turner Classic Movies. I can enjoy these old time movies.  I want to say this movie is about neighbors. The guy comes back from college and takes his not so tom boy neighbor to the state fair. I could be wrong.
  1. Meet Me in St. Louis – I LOVE this movie from the songs to each sister and the dad is so funny. I believe I will watch this again tonight. This will be a nice way to end my stress free weekend.

** For some reason I couldn’t add the pictures to these two movies and I am done trying…. Time to move on…..

The University of Iowa is a public research university in Iowa City, Iowa. Founded in 1847, it is the oldest and the second-largest university in the state.  All captured with DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone and Edited in Premiere Pro. Music licensed with Artlist

#1 This video was taped in the air. Yes, there were a lot of cool buildings, but I would have liked to see the names of the buildings etc. It is a nice and relaxing video to watch. It may be a year old, but since it was mostly for the view  and no info it was okay….

Iowa’s Oldest City: Dubuque, Iowa 4K. Mar 26, 2021

Chris Harden One could make a strong argument for Dubuque being Iowa’s most unique city. What’s undebatable is that Dubuque is the oldest city in Iowa, as it was a city before Iowa was a state. To this day, Dubuque remains to be an attractive place to live and to visit.{}

#2   This video is too long-winded , with good information, and I enjoyed the view. I may have only got through a little over 16 minutes, but it is a good video.

** Side Note –  My mind is going back to the book I started reading yesterday and I am having a hard time focusing on this video. Just like this video (which I don’t believe was taped in one day) I am going to go back to my book, with a cup of coffee in hand and come back to the state of Iowa.

{} The Iowa State Fair is an annual state fair held in Des Moines, Iowa in August. It began in 1854 and has been on the Iowa State Fairgrounds since 1886. It is based in the state capital Des Moines, Iowa over 11 days in August. With over a million visitors it is one of the largest and best known state fairs in the United States.  En.wikipedia.org {}

#3    The pretty picture captured my attention before I could even look at another  video. Art around the city not only  makes the area beautiful, but will always make someone Smile 🙂

** side note : I went to three other cities in Iowa and didn’t find one that wasn’t sad, too long ago, or anything that caught my attention. I am ready to enjoy the rest of my night with one of my favorite animes. I have already seen this once, maybe twice before, but I Love it. It’s called ‘My Roommate is a cat’.

I believe I am going to leave Iowa today and call my time there done. My next place to visit online is  Kansas. I am hoping for some fun videos. I am sure there are more things to do and see in Iowa, just not enough on video.

Well after a nice day of work, it’s nice to relax with a good anime  to watch or something interesting to read. I was thinking about a cup of coffee, but I promised only one a day. Well, I do two, but that is still better than six..

Yes or No?

Photo by Olya Kobruseva on Pexels.com

Ever start doing something and you know you are in the right and you keep things moving, because “I am right.” Then you start to slow down and look at what you are doing?

  1. What am I doing?
  2. Why am I doing this?
  3. Do I need to do this?

These three questions got me to stop trying to redo my past work. I wanted to put everything that said, “Online Traveling” under the menu, but since I didn’t know how to do that at the start of this blog and there wasn’t anyone who could help (for free) to set up my page correctly.

It doesn’t matter or does it? I am thinking about adding the rest?  YES or NO? I am going to think about this one..
