It seems like the longer I am crocheting, the less I have completed. 5 done – 19 to go. I am not giving. I have 6 more days to end this crazy crochet scarfs project. Time to get back to crocheting, every stitch counts..

When asked what you could do to help out in the womenâs shelter on Thanksgiving day. I was thinking maybe two or three people would like to learn, but since no one could give me an answer. I left the yarn that was donated to me for this project at home and just went in there with the thought of helping with the Christmass decorations.
I was surprised when someone asked about the amount of yarn I brought to show anyone.
Me    : âI didnât bring any, because I couldnât get a number count.â Member :  âGood, because no one wanted to do it.â Me : âOkay, someone gave me some yarn. I can make some scarves. How many do you think I would need to make?â Member : âOnly 23â Me     : Okay
I have no idea why I thought I could crochet 23 scarves in 18 days. My co-worker said she would do one for me. I got two made and I am working on two more now. Itâs December 5th, I should get back to crocheting, because December 15, will be here soon.
I donât know if I was told this or I heard it on TV, but these words are true. Think before you speak, because I want to keep my word, but my heart may be bigger than how fast my hands can move.

P.S – Sorry, this is a little off, but I am way too tired to try to figure out how the “Me” and “Member” line up. Time to eat, crochet a few rows, and call it a night…

I love to crochet. There’s no surprise there. If I am sitting, most likely I am crocheting. My favorite stitch is the granny square. Although I donât like stitching them together. I will post a few videos from my favorite crafters that show how to crochet granny squares. I was working on my red blanket (late last night). I had an idea in my head, but somehow it wasnât coming out as I thought it would. I did a few different stitches into one and will end it with a simple granny stitch until there isnât any yarn left. Oh, this is the fourth design for these colors. I decided to not frog the last project, turning it into a few balls of yarn, and just keep crocheting.

I found a better way to start my granny square⌠A standing single stitch takes the small bump away. I came up with this thought last night, because there was little light in my room. (Oh, I do not recommend crocheting with only light coming from the TV) When I got to a corner, I could barely see that third stitch, so when I turned my project around and was getting ready to make that slip stitch. I stopped. I was thinking can I do a standing crochet stitch? I was way too tired to keep thinking about this, so I just did it. I was so happy, because it worked.
** sidenote: I tried to find a video of a standing crochet stitch and there are way too many. I saved some, but they are lost in my group list as well.
I didnât see what I did, so maybe it wasnât a standing stitch after all. No, it was my standing stitch, and one day I will start my own YouTube channelâŚ.
My standing stitch goes like this: a single stitch, turned, another single stitch, I only pulled through one stitch, now there is two stitches on my hook, I pulled through one stitch, and now there are two stitches left, pulling through those two to make the height of a double crochet stitch.

I had to make myself stop adding some of my favorite granny squares and when I do stitch my squares together, I did Ms. Lyza Waltersâ stitch.
I am so over typing about crocheting, because I really want to crochet in the daytime with enough light to see every stitch.

They say, âWhen one door closes, another door opens,â and I know that is true. Then again my door was always half open and half closed. I could see and imagine a happy life, but the âunknownâ was preventing me from opening the door completely.
I have been crocheting for years and when some friends asked if I could teach them I said, âYes,â and told them the items they were going to need. I was confident I could teach them, but I was beyond wrong. The only thing I was able to teach them was how to start it and hold the needle.
I didnât want to give up and neither did they, but after two more days they only were able to get one row. They gave up and no matter how much I tried to encourage them, they didnât want to try again.
I started thinking maybe just knowing how to crochet wasnât enough, so I put it aside and gave up on teaching. I am out of work for three weeks (due to a fall at work) and I thought it was a good idea to teach what I love and thatâs crochet.
There is two websites that offer crochet certificate and I am moving closer to – https://americancrochetassociation.blog/
I canât wait until I get some more crochet hooks and then I will be signing up. I want to learn more and maybe one day I can teach what I have learnedâŚâŚ.

I enjoy crocheting and
I would talk about it all day if I could,
but thereâs not too many who share my idea of fun.
I came across Charlotte Yarn.
They were having an event where
Those who
Crochet or knit
Can come together to enjoy
A few hours to create together.
I was so excited and
I wanted to take pictures
And guess who forgotâŚ

I am going to stop here, because I am looking forward to finding out what there is to do in Nebraska?
