Online Traveling: California part 1..

I was talking to a co – worker and she was telling me about the few places she visited and couldn’t wait to travel again.  I mentioned I am traveling online and posting it on my blog. She was intrigued, because she never heard of anything like this. I had to close my mouth, because I thought the same way a few months ago.

A friend, who is also from New York was talking about our old stomping grounds and he told me to go to a video and I was watching someone walk around New York. It almost felt I was there and then I had an idea.

I have always wanted to see the world (and until i can get my book out in reality and a little extra $$ in my account) I could still see the world in a different way. Let me start where I live which is America and go from there.

I started with  Alabama and now my  next designation is California and I am sure I will have more than five videos to watch. I actually went to California a few years ago. I remembered it was HOT and since I rode the GreyHood bus line there from NC, which took 5 days and 4 nights. I know I will NEVER do that again. At least by bus…..

{} California  US State

California, a western U.S. state, stretches from the Mexican border along the Pacific for nearly 900 miles. Its terrain includes cliff-lined beaches, redwood forest, the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Central Valley farmland and the Mojave Desert. The city of Los Angeles is the seat of the Hollywood entertainment industry. Hilly San Francisco is known for the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island and cable cars. ― Google

California  From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

California is a state on the West Coast of the United States. With over 39.3 million residents across a total area of approximately 163,696 square miles (423,970 km2), it is the most populous state and the third-largest state by area. It is also the most populated subnational entity in North America and the 34th most populous in the world. The Greater Los Angeles area and the San Francisco Bay Area are the nation’s second and fifth most populous urban regions respectively, with the former having more than 18.7 million residents and the latter having over 9.6 million.[13] Sacramento is the state’s capital, while Los Angeles is the most populous city in the state and the second most populous city in the country (after New York City). Los Angeles County is the country’s most populous, while San Bernardino County is the largest county by area in the country. San Francisco, which is both a city and county, is the second most densely populated major city in the country (after New York City) and the fifth most densely populated county in the country, behind four of New York City’s five boroughs {}

There is more info, but I have no interest  in reading about the state. I would rather see it for myself…

#3 : I didn’t realize this video was made from the first video I looked at until I heard the voice and I am glad I looked at it. I may even watch it again. I liked this video, because it showed places to visit without you being in a crowd of people.

The world we live in has so much beauty in it and this video showed some of it. I have always wanted to take a ride on Route 66, and I never thought about the  view on the Mississippi River (on land of course).

One day I will go there for real and I now see that I want to see more of California and I have no idea how many parts it will be, but I am going to end this one on Route 66….

šŸ“Unforgettable Sedona experience must include spending time at internationally renowned Tlaquepaque (pronounced T-la-keh-pah-keh), Sedona Arizona’s Arts & Crafts Village, on of the best things to do in Sedona. Nestled beneath the shade of the sycamores on the banks of beautiful Oak Creek in Sedona, Tlaquepaque is the most distinctive Sedona shopping experience to be found in the Southwest. Authentically fashioned after a traditional Mexican village, Tlaquepaque, meaning the “best of everything,” has been a Sedona landmark since the 1970’s. Its vine covered stucco walls, cobble-stoned walkways and magnificent arched entryways give you the feeling that Tlaquepaque has been here for centuries. Tasteful galleries and unique shops live in harmony with its lush natural environment where giant sycamore trees stand in testimony to the care taken in preserving the timeless beauty of the Tlaquepaque grounds. It would be hard to find more beautiful surroundings anywhere to create a shopping experience like no other.

This is a virtual tour around the best Arizona small towns for 2021. These are our favorite small towns in Arizona but there are many small towns that could be on this list and that’s why I am asking if you guys would like a Part 2 or even a Part 3. This list of small towns is from Northern Arizona, Central Arizona and Southern Arizona. Some of these small town tours you can do in a day trip some may require an overnight stay if you really want to relax. Also a few of these towns you can see in one trip. For example the Jerome, Cottonwood and Sedona trip can be done in one day if you leave early enough.                    {}

Online Traveling #2 : Alaska

 Whenever I thought about Alaska I always thought about it being so cold and wondered how people actually lived there. I imagined deep snow year around.

 It wasn’t until I started watching ā€œMolly of Denali,ā€ a show on PBS had me changing how I saw Alaska. (I no longer have any small kids in my in my house hold, but I still watch PBS) So, my next online stop is Alaska. I will see Denali online as I hopefully complete my baby blue blanket.

Description :  Alaska is a U.S. state on the northwest extremity of the country’s West Coast, just across the Bering Strait. A semi-exclave of the U.S., it borders the Canadian province of British Columbia and territory of Yukon to the east and southeast and has a maritime border with Russia’s Chukotka Autonomous Okrug to the west. Online Traveling #1 : Alabama

I have always wanted to travel, but I am going to start being honest with myself. I may NOT be able to visit other States across my homeland, but that doesn’t mean I cannot see them.

I am in a new age where anywhere can be seen online and one can set their dreams free if ā€œThey just Change how they look out into the world,ā€ so here I  go looking at the World with new eyes.

I will start with  Alabama and go from there….

(I wanted to add a picture, but I got to thinking about what is copyright and what is free? I will come back to this or not – )

Alabama –  US State

Description

Alabama is a southeastern U.S. state that’s home to significant landmarks from the American Civil Rights Movement. The city of Birmingham’s 16th Street Baptist Church, now a museum, was a protest headquarters in the 1960s. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s church and the Rosa Parks Museum, dedicated to the activist, can be found in the capital of Montgomery. ― Google

**A Side Note: This idea came from me watching a video on youtube of New York City and I thought I could watch a video on other States as I continue to work on my baby blue blanket (which I am almost done with) and get a feel for the State.

However that isn’t what I saw. The first thing that came to mind was, ā€œthis State LOVES its football,ā€ and this wasn’t what I was looking for.

Then I noticed ā€œThe do’s and don’tā€ video and thought that was a good idea. I got to copying and pasting and then saw the copyright sign. My first thought was to get in contact with them and ask them if I could add their story to mind.

That was a Big ā€œNOā€ from me. I knew if I had to stop and wait for an answer I had to stop writing and by the time I got an answer I would have moved past this story.

~ So, I am going to first look for another video that may showcase this state, and go from there…..

šŸ’™ šŸ’™ Now this is what I was looking for. This video may not have had the music or the names of all the areas that were seen. This video was like seeing the state as if you were driving through the streets of Birmingham Alabama and that is what you were doing.

I felt as if I was there (although I would have had some music in the background, but that maybe just me) and it was cool.

As the driver got closer to what I was really curious to know what those large poles were that were on the right side of the driver as they drove past a street sign that read: 12 Ave N. was it a baseball field or maybe a golf course?

It’s Google map’s time. I have an address so – Still don’t know what I saw. It’s okay, I am now over it.  I thought I would add some history to this, but then I remembered I didn’t like doing that while I was in school and I am NOT about to do that now. Besides, I am not writing a history report or acting as a tour guide. (Feel free to look up all the info you want to look up online or your local library)

I just want to look at places that make up America and who knows maybe another state may catch my attention and I would like to know more about it. Until then it’s time to get back to my blanket….

Just have to add a border and this project will be done….

Bye IV Now, LD*
