I am done going around in circles. Circles are round with no end to them. It’s like going through your day like a run on sentence. You tell yourself you want change, but you are not doing anything to make that happen. You dream of a big picture  and have an idea on how to turn that picture into reality.

It starts off being honest with yourself. You know you have no reason to be afraid.

I am taking a closer look at who I am and who I know I can be. I am going into a new stage in my life my way. I am in charge of my tomorrow, if I have a tomorrow, because no one knows when we will take our last breath. The only thing we can do is live our life the best way we can.

I enjoy crocheting. The idea of turning a skein of yarn into  blankets, hats, scarves, and countless other objects. I want to learn to do more, because I can imagine crochet items like curtains, rugs, dresses, and the list goes on.

People are all amazed when  they see me crocheting and I just smile and say thank you when I get a compliment on whatever I am working on. There have  been a few people who asked me to teach them how to crochet. I never thought about it, but I agreed. 

Then reality hit me. Teaching and doing are two different things. I’ve watched crochet tutorials on youtube. There are a lot I can follow and a lot I cannot. There are some with words and music playing in the background. Those are okay, but sometimes the words are too small to read across the screen. There are a few that are not in English or ones with a heavy accent and I still cannot understand what is being said. 

The videos I dislike the most are the ones that don’t show what they are doing, just talking about them, and That’s not doing me any good. If I see a picture, I want to learn how to do it, and what’s the point of posting a video if you are not going to show how it’s done.

It is true you don’t need to have a certificate to teach crochet or knitting, but I would like to teach my craft with a better understanding and clear enough for others to follow along. I would like to prove one can crochet anywhere and it isn’t hard to do.

I have taken the first steps. Yes, I have started a new list and I WILL  FOLLOW THROUGH this time. THIS WILL BE MY LAST LIST. I have started with a monthly planner. Well, it’s time to crochet.

Life is so hard and it’s only going to get harder as you grow older. I am over 50 and I wish someone had stressed on the point to “Work smarter and Not enjoy your youth,” because I should have been saving instead of spending.

Then again I should have followed my dreams and worked harder to set them free. I put aside what I wanted, to go for the quick cash, and thirty plus years later I am paying for it.

There comes a time when we stop and look back and see all of our mistakes and wish we could go back and fix them. Today we see the young doing the same things and we try to tell them to change their steps. I get, “You sound just like my grandmother.”  I say, “thank you,”  because we don’t want you to make the same mistakes we did. We want you to be better.

I am Smiling for the next chapter in my life. It may have taken me longer than it should have, but I am stepping out in my best chapter. I will not be bugging you to better your life, you will realize my wordsworth later, but as for me? 

I AM MOVING FORWARD and LEAVING MY PAST in the PAST……………

I have to remind myself of who I am today and not the closed minded person I was years ago. I am moving forward and NOT  looking back. The way I see it. I have already learned from my mistakes and I have let them go.

I was about to have an UGH moment, because my computer is about to die. Then I remembered my tea kettle had just stopped. I will get my lavender tea as I let this computer charge before I start a new chapter in my life.

Part 1: More Than a Flea Market..

Thinking outside of the box can be interesting as well as a lot of work. It has been said, “anything worth having, is worth fighting for, and working hard to set that dream free.” I know I got that quote wrong, but the meaning is still there.

When I think about selling my projects online the cost : 

  1. Website
  2. Name
  3. Packaging
  4. Shipping & Handling
  5. Credit Card payments
  6. Safe gardening yourself and your customers

Then I am wondering how I can make this more personal? I am mostly crocheting for myself, because I Really enjoy doing it. I also like to shop and there have been countless times when I saw an item, but didn’t care for the color. I would think, “too bad it’s not my size or the right color?” 

I cannot be the only one who thinks like this when they are shopping for a special event or just looking and something catches your eyes. The unexpected item is always  the best item to buy.

I was thinking about the farmers market and realized I can sell my projects at a flea market. I could also have cards made out and then people can request a personal blankets I can crochet for them.

No answer there, but yet another question. Skynova doesn’t have an address, but a p.o box number. That got me thinking..

Video # 3: I may have to rewatch this, because I didn’t get an answer to the title’s question.

I didn’t realize how one answer to one question has opened the door to many more questions. Then again it is best to have answers for every angle to an important question, until every question has been answered.

It never crossed my mind to use my home address when I start my business and was considering using a PO box address, but I now know a PO box address isn’t for a business.

Looking into – a virtual mailbox and a UPS mailbox for business is going to take some more time looking into. To think I got these new questions waiting to know more about selling my crochet items at a flea market.

It’s time to get back to crocheting……
