Calm After the Anger….

I am starting my prayer journal to be more calm and staying calm; like when your space is turning upside down. When you are calm, your mind is clear, and your heart rate has no signs of being stressed. You can accomplish almost anything if you have a calm mind.

I took out a small book, and before I could  write down one thought, that page was almost already full. Then I saw a bigger writing book across the room, but then I changed my mind.

I not only want to think out my thoughts, but get as much information about that thought as I can. Once again I find myself with questions I need answers too and realize I need to type out my thoughts and get the answers I want from my questions. What does Google say about the word calm: Calm describes a state of being free from disturbance.

CALM Definition & Meaning – Merriam-Webster https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/calm

Calm noun a period or condition of freedom from storms, high winds, or rough activity of water

Those are a few ideas from the Internet about the meaning of being calm. Now it’s time to go to the Word and learn what calm means.

https://bible.com/bible/114/1pe.5.8.NKJV   I Peter 5:8 NKJV Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.
https://bible.com/bible/8/1pe.5.8.AMPC      1 Peter 5:8 AMPC  Be well balanced (temperate, sober of mind), be vigilant and cautious at all times; for that enemy of yours, the devil, roams around like a lion roaring [in fierce hunger], seeking someone to seize upon and devour.
https://bible.com/bible/8/1th.5.6.AMPC      1 Thessalonians 5:6 AMPC  Accordingly then, let us not sleep, as the rest do, but let us keep wide awake (alert, watchful, cautious, and on our guard) and let us be sober (calm, collected, and circumspect).

**side note: In the middle of working on this post, I got a wave of anger, and that feeling had me biting my fingers so I wouldn’t do something I was going to regret. Once I was able to calm down, I was ready to come back to my first thought, but I decided to type out my real feelings.

I went straight to Word and read through more than scriptures then I am posting, but these got read more than once. This next part was how I was able to calm down.

~Holding back tears of anger isn’t fun and the pain that is filling my head and tightening my throat is coming from my own anger. I am not liking this feeling, but it’s here.

https://bible.com/bible/8/jas.1.20.AMPC James 1:20  For man’s anger does not promote the righteousness God [wishes and requires].
https://bible.com/bible/8/eph.4.32.AMPC Ephesians 4:32  And become useful and helpful and kind to one another, tenderhearted (compassionate, understanding, loving-hearted), forgiving one another [readily and freely], as God in Christ forgave you.
https://bible.com/bible/8/psa.37.8.AMPC Psalm 37:8    Cease from anger and forsake wrath; fret not yourself–it tends only to evildoing.
https://bible.com/bible/8/pro.14.29.AMPC Proverbs 14:29  He who is slow to anger has great understanding, but he who is hasty of spirit exposes and exalts his folly. [Prov. 16:32; James 1:19.]

https://bible.com/bible/114/eph.4.31-32.NKJV  Ephesians 4:31-32 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. [32] And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.

I am thinking about how I haven’t worked on my book or even thought about it in weeks. It is time I get to work, because I am keeping my word. I am calm and thinking positive.

Bye IV Now, LD*
