There must be a new definition for the word “new,” because I thought new meant something like:

• You haven’t done before
• A place you haven’t visit
• A game you hadn’t played
• A recipe you saw online and finally tried it for the first time.
• A hair style, go to a movie premiere, or buy your first car 

And the list goes on, because that is what I consider the word new means. Let’s see what I find out what Google says: 

1. Google says: new [nju:] adjective – not existing before; made, introduced, or discovered recently or now for the first time.

• New (adjective) having recently come into existence  

I could list a few other examples, but they all say pretty much the same thing and these words are basically what I already thought. The person who told me the meaning of “new” was wrong. Okay let me replay what was said:

I asked, “Are we going with the new set-up?”

“There isn’t a new set-up. I just haven’t given you the new update.” 

I was thinking, “I know I am old, but do you not hear the words you are saying?” Because, I heard you say the word new. Hahaha I guess you don’t understand what that word means?
