More the an Anime..

I am watching a new anime “B_ack C_over,” and I was going to add a picture and info about the creator, but going through (what is and isn’t copyright) so I am not giving the full name of the show or any pictures.

This story talks about NOT giving up on your dreams and Not letting others stop that dream.

They may have to go through a battle both on the battlefield, through family, and people who could have been your friend.

Is this just like reality? No one wants to be alone and one has to go through a lot of people to find a true friend. One shouldn’t accept a person by blood, classmates, or the workforce.

A friend is someone who truly cares for you, encourages you to be better, and helps you Smile when you are feeling sad. Who says watching anime isn’t good for you.

The End of James..

Dear James,

I do believe in giving a person a second chance, but I also believe in living in reality and knowing when to let go. I try to find the good in all, because no one is born to be a one sided person .

I  am NOT going to apologize for putting my feelings first, because if I don’t, who will? A few months ago I told you I was done, but I went back on my word.

I couldn’t see myself giving up on a person I have known for over twenty years. Then I stopped making excuses and actually started listening between the lines and I realized you are NOT REAL.

I lost count of how many times I have told you, “I am not allowing anyone to put poison in my body,” and yet you haven’t done it.

I tell you I am beyond tired and didn’t feel like talking and you send me an angry text talking about how you needed my advice and how I wasn’t being a friend.

I am not upset with you, because you are just being you. It takes more than one person to be called a friend. What do you call a friend? Two or more people who:

  1.   Likes the same things you do
  2.   Care about each other’s feeling
  3.   Will help each other in anyway they can
  4.   Who knows you and how you feel about certain things
  5.   They also know what you dislike and if it’s different from how you feel, they will not bring it up in your presence.
  6.  They will want the best for you and NOT try to bring you down.
  7.  They will be the first to stand with you, when trouble comes to push you back, and they know you will do the same for them.
  8. They will not only laugh with you, but be there to let you cry on their shoulder.
  9. They know what to say or do to make you Smile, when all you want to do is cry.
  10. A person who becomes more than just a “Friend,” but becomes “Family”.

When it comes down to what is at the base of  “A True Friend” is trust.

Then there is the passing friend. A person who if you saw on the street  you will greet with a smile, but you keep it moving. They may have been close to you at one time, but somewhere they lost your trust.

You know you cannot let that person within your circle again. This way you could still be polite, to the person that was once called your friend, and keep it moving.

James, I had  tried to start over, but it takes two people to start over. I even overlooked the times when you were rude and not one encouraging word when I told you how I was going to take a chance on setting my dreams free. You passed by that and wanted me to do something for you.

I can honestly SMILE now, because I can truly let go and not feel bad about it. I am left alone without anyone else to really talk to, but was I really talking to you or just answering your questions?

Be safe and Good – Bye..

It isn’t easy to let go of a long time friendship, but as I read over my words. I know it takes two people to be friends and I am and will always be TRUE to MYSELF***

A Nice Get Away

The Art of a Good Book Review:

  1. Provide a summary of the book you are reading: Questions that need answering like:  – What is the story about?                              – Who are the main characters?                      – When, where, and what is the time frame of the story?                                                       – Is this place real in reality or a totally new world based on the author’s creative mind?

** The key part is to give some of the story, but NOT all of it.**

  1.  Present your evaluation: What do you like or dislike about the book?                                   – What made you start reading this book?       – Can compare to another book by the same or different author.                                            – How did the story start?                               – How did you feel reading this story?

***Get your point across about the story without giving too much away *** (had to say this twice, because it’s an important part. If everyone knew how it ends, no one would buy the book, and that’s Not what a book review is for).

  1. Give your recommendation: Why did you like or did not like the book? Be honest, but NOT hurtful. Because, there is going to be someone who doesn’t feel the same as you.                   – Your thoughts should be within your review to allow your readers to get a feel of your words and they may understand your “Yes” or “no” answer to this review.

**Take notes as you read the book, to make sure you didn’t overlook something, and to add more detail if needed.***

– One can always read others who have written a book review to give you a better idea on how to do it?

This is how I spent part of my saturday. I redid my resume and started doing the normal things you do when you are looking to change jobs. I had just updated my Linkedin account and stopped on a blog. (I don’t recall the story or who had written it, but it got me thinking “I do not want another deadend job,” and I want to be happy. I am going to stop here to see if I can find that story – 2:49pm)

3:03pm I found the person, but I am too hungry to get any farther. (I did say, “thanks” for the encouraging step)

I am reading two of the 6 books I need to read to complete “The Malory Family,” a series of books by Johanna Lindsey before I start writing that book review. I know each book should have its own review, but that isn’t how my mind sees it.

Well, it’s time to get dinner started, because I plan on spending all of my free time reading. It is good to get out of reality once in a while and I LOVE this family. They may NOT be real, (too bad) but they are a nice get away…

Another Day…

What do you do after you have made a list, double checked your facts, and believe you have done everything you could do to set your dreams free?

I wanted a website where I could talk about my craft as well as to sell my projects (crochet items to a cross stitch picture). It was a good idea on paper. I did my research.

I went through each step and double checked  my facts. It wasn’t hard to set up the website, but it is the little things behind the sign on information that they don’t tell you – you need to know.

A website is not just typing in your stories, posting your pictures and you see your dreams coming true.

There really should be a full detail of each step you need to know how to do before you set up a website and what you need to do after it is set up in simple steps.

I may have gotten a story or two under the right category, but it’s not where I want it to be (it’s at the button of the page & not the top). I am getting closer to getting it right.

I have been working on a Granny Square blanket on and off this past week  and it is coming out real.  I have been doing this stitch for more than 30 years now and I didn’t think I could learn something new.  I was wrong. SMILE!

Blossom Crochet

Granny Squares are a great stash busting project. – whether you choose to make lots of small ones or a huge one, this crochet tutorial will help you do it!

It is time I take a crochet break. I know most people would have said, “a coffee break”, but I’ve already had my coffee for the day. The next best thing than coffee is crocheting. It’s time to have some fun and what better way to do that is to create something with your hand?

I am not giving up on my words, but one has to know when it’s time to back off and come back when your mind is clear? I am going back to working on my baby boy’s blanket. Well not really my blanket, because I am hoping to sell it one day.

Time to find a movie and get back to what I do. And, one day I will get my website working correctly. It is a New Year and I will have another day to set my dreams free!

Back to the Square

I knew I wanted to make a boy’s blanket and I wanted to do another new pattern. I can’t believe I actually went through five different patterns before I settled on the Granny Square Stitch. Although I have done this pattern countless times. I know there are countless ways of doing the same stitch and if it was a chance to learn something new?

I crochet and I am opened to learning different ways, because there is “No one way” to actually do a crochet stitch. I enjoy learning something new (#5 – I believe it’s called a standing stitch).
