A Look at New Anime’s

Photo by Oleg Magni on Pexels.com

I am happy I found a new anime to watch. It is called, “New Game.” this would be the second one I started today.  I couldn’t get into the first one and since I moved on I cannot recall the title of it..

{} New Game! Is an anime television series based on the manga series created by Shƍtarƍ Tokunƍ and published in Houbunsha’s Manga Time Kirara Carat magazine. The series follows Aoba Suzukaze, a high school graduate who begins working at the Eagle Jump video game company as a character designer.

#1 This was my first time seeing an all-girl cast and just like in reality girls can do almost everything a guy can do. I didn’t just choose this anime, because it was featuring girls as the main characters. I like the idea of a ‘new game’ or a ‘new anime.’ I was looking for something that was fun and had no fighting in it.

Yes, there were challenges, but instead of hurting each other with their fist, they worked everything out using their creative minds. I wonder what the world would look like if each person could just talk out their differences?

Okay, sorry for getting off track. I am sad, because I watched an anime late last night and forgot its title. It was the last thing I turned off and it will still be in my history. Yeah right, because I got up working on my “Online travel” blog and that history was no more.

I was about to give up on looking for another anime for now, but I had to watch something while I enjoyed my coffee. So, I came across

Kenka Banchou Otome: Girl Boys

According to Hikaru, Hikaru and Hinako are the children of the head of the powerful Onigashima yakuza family, and Hikaru wants Hinako to switches places with him a Shishiku Academy, an all-boys school overrun with the nation’s toughest delinquents. #2 I didn’t think I would see another anime where a girl is pretending to be a boy like, “The Host Club”. The only difference here is that only a few know she is really a girl. At first they tried to get her to tell her secret, because a few guessed or had an idea that she was a girl. For reasons of their own they accepted it, and helped her.  One of them turned out to be a childhood friend.

I was only supposed to watch one episode, but I ended up watching all 12 and now I am hoping there will be a second season. After all this is only her first year.

SoniAni: Super Sonico The Animation

Synopsis: Super Sonico is a clutzy, adorable, and well-endowed 18-year old girl. She’s a complete sucker for anything cute, especially stray cats, all of which she giddily adopts. However, though Sonico should be enjoying a carefree and simply lifestyle as a young college student, her life is really anything but easy: she must balance being a professional model, working part-time at her grandmother’s restaurant, and practicing guitar and performing concerts with her friends Suzi Fujimi and Fuuri Watanuki in their band, First Astronomical Velocity–all while attending college. SoniAni: Super Sonico the Animation follows Sonico as she faces daunting challenges in her search for her place in the world, even when her days are brimming with love and happiness.

#3 I LOVE This anime. I have been laughing on and off all day and even a small tear. Sonico was a;ways smiling and that made other’s want to smile as well. She encouraged others sometimes without even knowing it, a person with a good heart, and a passion to set her dreams free.

She was a model, but that was just a job away to pay for school and to allow her to perform in her band. She also LOVES cats and who couldn’t love anyone who loves cats?

** sidenote: This should have been watched in a few days, but I watched all 12 episodes. I guess it would have been okay if I was working on a project, but I didn’t feel like turning on the lights. Oh well it’s after 11pm and with all this darkness. I am going to call it a night
.

Can’t believe I not only watched two new anime series in one day, but I like them enough to watch again. Hope there’s another season for them both?

Restaurant to Another World : Japanese light novel series

Restaurant to Another World is a Japanese light novel series written by Junpei Inuzuka, with illustrations by Katsumi Enami. Shufunotomo have released five volumes of the series since February 2015. An Anime television series adaptation by Silver Link aired from July 3 to September 18, 2017. A second season by OLM will premiere on October 2, 2021.  En.wikipedia.org{}

# 4: I was looking for an anime that didn’t have any fighting in it or magic and when I typed in the word ‘cafe’ the Restaurant to Another World came up. This restaurant caters to different world’s. At first some were confused and didn’t think human food would be as good as it is, but everyone who comes through this door agrees the food is the best that they had ever tasted.

** side note : I really did enjoy this easy going story and although I only watched six episodes. I will watch the remaining six episodes at a later date.

#5 This anime started off okay as two people noticing that they would like to make friends, but their personality makes it hard to do. They agree to start a club, good, and the first two episodes seemed okay. Then that changed and THIS ANIME ISN’T MEANT FOR YOUNG ADULTS OR THOSE WITH A FAITH KIND OF MIND.

F.Y.I   That’s the reason why I didn’t add  a picture. I cannot say how much I DISLIKE this anime.  I think I will go back to something I have already watched and like. I will look for something new over the weekend
  Who can guess what I will be watching next?

A New Anime..

I started watching a new anime and of course I forgot its title. Good thing there is google. This is what I typed in, ‘an anime where a young girl solves mystery and stays in a library,’ and this is its answer:

{} Gosick No. Kazuya, a Japanese student in the Saint Marguerite Academy in Sauville, meets a mysterious girl named Victorque atop the school’s library tower.

Gosick – Wikipedia {}

{} https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/b/b0/Gosick_vol_1.jpg

– Wikipedia Images may be subject to copyright.{}

I don’t get why she has to stay on the school grounds all the time or that her brother act likes she isn’t there, even though she is helping him, but Victorque accepts it as her faith. I want to say Kazuya was tricked into going to the tower and there he found a friend he didn’t know he was looking for.

She has a mind that will clear up any kind of mystery and loves finding an answer to an unknown question. He seems to always be in an area at the wrong time and by the time he realizes he is in trouble it’s too late.

He helps her not to be bored all the time and she helps him be able to stand on his own and not in the shadow of his brothers.

This is a cool anime. I am enjoying this story as my pastel project gets bigger. The weekend is almost here and I don’t want to spend it in the house. I don’t have a clue as to what I will do or where I will go, but I have two more days to think it out

Anime Watch List 4: When…..

When Marnie Was There

VERY VERY GOOD MOVIE.

Annie was a young girl who kept to herself and didn’t know her selfe worth. At the beginning of the movie she pointed that out herself, her mother who has taken her in felt because she wasn’t her biological mother was at fault for her not fitting in. After an asthma attack the doctor suggested she should stay with family outside of the city.

At first I thought that was wrong, but for Annie that was the best thing. She not only made a friend who helped her see her self worth, but realized she was totally loved. Even if that friend was a ghost.

She did meet some real live people as well and this story was one of the BEST new stories I have seen in a VERY LONG TIME!!

I  got tired of  looking for something new to watch, so I went back to two of my favorite anime. Whispers of the Heart was the first movie and the next one was called The Cat returns.

Whisper of the Heart

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Whisper of the Heart (Japanese: è€łă‚’ă™ăŸă›ă°, Hepburn: Mimi o Sumaseba, literally “If You Listen Closely”) is a 1995 Japanese animated coming-of-age romantic drama film directed by Yoshifumi Kondƍ and written by Hayao Miyazaki based on the 1989 manga of the same name by Aoi Hiiragi. It was animated by Studio Ghibli for Tokuma Shoten, Nippon Television Network and Hakuhodo. The film stars Yoko Honna, Issei Takahashi, Takashi Tachibana, Shigeru Muroi, Shigeru Tsuyuguchi and Keiju Kobayashi. It was the first theatrical Studio Ghibli film to be directed by someone other than Miyazaki or Isao Takahata.

Whisper of the Heart was Kondƍ’s only film as director before his death in 1998. Studio Ghibli had hoped that Kondƍ would become the successor to Miyazaki and Takahata.[2]

It was the only theatrical Ghibli film not directed by Miyazaki or Takahata for seven years until The Cat Returns was released in 2002, which focused on a minor character of the film, Baron. {}

I LOVE this movie and I LOVE this article I just read about it. If you want to look at an anime that has no fighting in it and a good story I hope you take a chance of this one as well as the second one. I am going to add that review here if anyone else would like to read it as well.

The film’s protagonists, Shizuku and Seiji.

It’s almost sinful how little this movie is known or seen. There is no doubt this is one of the most emotionally intricate, beautiful pieces to come out of Ghibli, and modern cinema in general. As Yoshifumi Kondo’s first and last project after tragically passing away, there’s no doubt we preemptively lost who undoubtedly would’ve been one of modern cinema’s greatest directors. So rare is a first attempt so wonderful.

The Cat Returns

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Cat Returns (Japanese: çŒ«ăźæ©èż”ă—, Hepburn: Neko no Ongaeshi, lit. “The Cat’s Repayment”) is a 2002 Japanese animated fantasy[3] film directed by Hiroyuki Morita, produced by Toshio Suzuki and Nozomu Takahashi, written by Reiko Yoshida, based on the manga The Cat Returns by Aoi Hiiragi, with music by Yuji Nomi, animated by Studio Ghibli for Tokuma Shoten, Nippon Television Network, Hakuhodo, Buena Vista Home Entertainment, Mitsubishi and Toho and distributed by the latter company. It stars Chizuru Ikewaki, Yoshihiko Hakamada, Tetsu Watanabe, Yosuke Saito, Aki Maeda and Tetsurƍ Tamba. This is Hiroyuki Morita’s first and only film so far as director for Studio Ghibli.

A spin-off of Whisper of the Heart, it was theatrically released in Japan on July 20, 2002 through Toho and in 2005 in the United States through Walt Disney Home Entertainment.[4] It received an Excellence Prize at the 2002 Japan Media Arts Festival. GKIDS re-issued the film on Blu-ray and DVD on January 16, 2018 under a new deal with Studio Ghibli.[5]{}

The first one was better than the second, but it was something watching cats..

Synopsis

The aloof protagonist: a bookworm who is deeply detached from the world he resides in. He has no interest in others and is firmly convinced that nobody has any interest in him either. His story begins when he stumbles across a handwritten book, titled “Living with Dying.” He soon identifies it as a secret diary belonging to his popular, bubbly classmate Sakura Yamauchi. She then confides in him about the pancreatic disease she is suffering from and that her time left is finite. Only her family knows about her terminal illness; not even her best friends are aware. Despite this revelation, he shows zero sympathy for her plight, but caught in the waves of Sakura’s persistent buoyancy, he eventually concedes to accompanying her for her remaining days.

As the pair of polar opposites interact, their connection strengthens, interweaving through their choices made with each passing day. Her apparent nonchalance and unpredictability disrupts the protagonist’s impassive flow of life, gradually opening his heart as he discovers and embraces the true meaning of living.

This is a new anime movie and I can’t wait to get n2 it. At first I was kind of upset, because someone (a guy) found another person’s personal book and read it. It is beyond rude to read someone’s else’s personal thoughts. As I continued to read the outlines of the story the girl (who owns the book)didn’t hold it against him and I am intrigued to find out why?

*A side note: Another question, one that wasn’t asked directly, but it was asked just the same. Looking forward to getting an answer
.

Over an hour of my time wasted
. To say it didn’t end right wouldn’t be saying it  STRONG ENOUGH!!!  I am going to make sure I NEVER look at another of Yoru Sumino ever again
.

If it had ended after he (Haruki)had left her (Sakura) house, then it would have ended better, but it didn’t. It ended with an unanswered question. One should NEVER end a movie, a book, or a story with an unanswered question.

Let me calm down and go back to one of my favorite animes and that would be D.N Angel – who couldn’t love Dark and Daisuke. That actually should be Daisuke and Dark, because there wouldn’t be a Dark if it wasn’t for Daisuke.  I have lost count on the times I have already watched this series. It has been a while and I don’t know all of the stories by heart, and that is a good thing.

It is also a good thing when you know you have seen some good animes. Animes are just like books, one can never judge a book by its cover, and one cannot stop reading different kinds of books. So, I will not stop watching new anime.. I can always go back to one I like to clear away what I Just closed my eyes too and try to forget that my time was wasted.

Synopsis

Hachiman Hikigaya is an apathetic high school student with narcissistic and semi-nihilistic tendencies. He firmly believes that joyful youth is nothing but a farce, and everyone who says otherwise is just lying to themselves.

In a novel punishment for writing an essay mocking modern social relationships, Hachiman’s teacher forces him to join the Volunteer Service Club, a club that aims to extend a helping hand to any student who seeks their support in achieving their goals. With the only other club member being the beautiful ice queen Yukino Yukinoshita, Hachiman finds himself on the front line of other people’s problems—a place he never dreamed he would be. As Hachiman and Yukino use their wits to solve many students’ problems, will Hachiman’s rotten view of society prove to be a hindrance or a tool he can use to his advantage?

Okay, after I just read this article on the story. I understand it a little more, because the guy always seemed out of place as if he didn’t want to be there. I have always said a book is better than the movie or in this case an anime show.

I guess it’s time to stop typing and see if I can get n2 this show as I work on my cross stitch project..

This was the first time I started a series in the middle a.k.a why I didn’t understand the story line and it’s cool for times when I don’t want to watch any fighting.
