Online Traveling #11: Hawaii

I am heading towards Hawaii, a place I have always wanted to go. I have seen this state in movies like:

  • Moana (my favorite)- bought the DVD, because of Dweyne Johnson’s voice. No, I didn’t even see a preview. I LOVE this movie & still watch it.
  • Johnny Tsunami – I saw this movie on HBO a few years ago, but it was a good movie.
  •  Lilo & Stitch – I don’t remember how I first saw this movie, I do know I bought it, and it was part of our movie night more than one time…

This is a very – very short list. I knew  if I start a list showing movies I have seen  to television shows that was filmed in Hawaii like:

  • Gilligan’s Island – It may have been reruns, because I wasn’t born as of yet.
  • Hawai`i Five-O    – I didn’t care for the first one (reruns), but the up to date one 2010 – 2020.
  • Fantasy Island – That came on after the ‘Love Boat,’ and that got me thinking how men look good in a suit.

I am thinking this trip may end up like L.A? My time in L.A left me with way too many places to see in one post. I like to do at least five videos, but it could be a part 2 or 3? No, I don’t think I will go over 2 if that many. Then again I don’t know until I have answered all of my questions….

2021 TRAVEL: HAWAII (Hawaii Travel Restrictions) 🌺 •Mar 21, 2021

TIM and FIN  Looking for Hawaii travel restrictions? In this video we discuss how to travel to Hawaii in 2021 and take you around the island of Maui. This is the first in a 5 part series around Maui. {}

#1.  They started off showing how easy it was to take a test before you can even get on the plane to get to Hawaii and in this new time – I agree. The video gave you some  information on what to do, places to eat, and a commercial. Which is cool to push your own products, but I didn’t realize this is a 5 part series. (I didn’t read their words until I was ready to retype them to  add to my story and I am not going to look at them). I want to look at more than just one place in Hawaii.

#2.  The reason why I clicked on this video, because it said it was going to give at least 10 great things to do, by a local, and who would know better than a local. Then I almost clicked it off when I realized Blake wasn’t actually in these places. I am glad I let it play through, because there was a lot of information and he even offered a discount on places you  can go to enjoy Maui.

Side Note: I would like to go for a less tiresome hike, but most of the things to do were a little too fast for me. I was thinking there had to be somewhere in Hawaii that wouldn’t have a lot of people and this site https://traveltips.usatoday.com/ is what popped up on Google. It has a lot of extra things I don’t care to look at, but someone else may feel different. I think I will ask ‘YouTube’ this question and see what it brings up.

Plus I’ll let you know what the policies are for travelers who are fully vaccinated! {}

#3 This wasn’t about my question, but I thought its title would be very helpful to anyone who wanted to go to Hawaii in the near future. She did say, ‘things change at all times,’ but this video gave me some idea of what could happen if I get a chance to visit Hawaii in the near future.

If anyone was looking to get more information on how to be safe and fun on their trip to Hawaii. I hope this video answers some questions or at least gives you an idea on what could happen before your fun can begin.

#5 This video was like watching an anime English Subbed episode and I DO NOT  look at them, and I did not watch this video. Although the music was nice and what was shown on screen looked nice. Someone else might like this video – why am I including it in my post?

Side note: I noticed that this was more of a “what to do” and “what not to do” and not what I was looking for. Then again I would rather have too much information on a new place and have some idea of what to expect, then going in hoping for the best.

I can’t wait for ‘Hawaii – Part 2”……

Traveling Online 10: Georgia

When I think about Georgia, I think about food, and I am making myself hungry as I type. I wonder if they have a new way of cooking meals without meat? Although I do eat a little seafood maybe twice a month. I am Smiling as I think about the possibilities. It is no surprise, because I Love Ms. Kardea Brown has a show on food network called  “Delicious Miss Brown.”

{}https://youtu.be/E0ISqLaZ68k I drove through downtown Atlanta, Georgia. This is what I saw • May 23, 2021.

  Nick Johnson

 Downtown Atlanta was so empty. Why??

For this edition of dashboard tours, I took I-85 north from Alabama into the heart of it all – Atlanta Georgia. The plan was to record the downtown Atlanta area, a metro area that I had only seen from the window of a car. I was lucky – Atlanta traffic ranks as the fourth worst in the country. But because of a global pandemic, i was able to scoot into downtown with hardly a backup at all. It was Thursday, January 7, 2021 at about 2:39 pm.{}

#1  I liked the information at the start of this video and the music as he drove around the town.  I did see a few places I like to have a second look at. One of the biggest Ferris wheel  https://www.skyviewatlanta.com  I have ever seen. After I saw Metro Cafe https://www.metrocafediner.com/  I realized I forgot to get my coffee. I saw  a blue sign “Rialto,”  and I couldn’t wait  to find out what it was. It is an art center  https://rialto.gsu.edu

Side note – I am not sure why there are two dates, but other than that. I wanted to correct the mistake I saw in his description of this video, but I didn’t. Not that big of a deal. I enjoyed watching this video as I worked on my baby blue project…

Online Traveling #9: Florida

When I think about Florida I think about DisneyLand, beaches, rain, and alligators. I know there is more to this state than these four words, but I am at a loss as to what that could be. I wonder if I am the only one with this thought?

It is a good thing my next trip online is Florida. I will have my answer and see how much more I can learn about this state. Who knows I may find that I would like to visit it in reality one day.

10 Best Places to Visit in Florida – Travel Video  •May 12, 2021

Touropia

Check out all the places seen in this video: https://www.touropia.com/best-places-

When most people think of Florida, they think of sunshine, theme parks, orange juice and alligators. But this former Spanish colony, which became the 27th state to enter the Union, is much more than that. Bordered by the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the Gulf of Mexico on the other, it has mile upon mile white sand beaches. Its moderate  climate makes it a popular tourist destination all year round. Here’s a look at the best places to visit in Florida.{}

#1 This video spoke of pretty much what I thought Florida was hot and too many people. Some may say I worry too much, but I will be keeping my mask on when I am out in the public. I will also still not be in a crowd… Moving on….

Ten “Secret” Places in Florida – Things to see in Florida that Tourists Don’t Know About. •Sep 7, 2020

#2 This video was a surprise to me, not because of the places they talked about, but because they weren’t actually there. My first thought was to click off, because I didn’t think I was going to get any information from this video. I was Wrong. I found myself wanting to visit a few of the state parks, like The Falling Water State Park seems like a cool place to visit and take beautiful pictures.

I was thinking it would have been nice to see more pictures as they were driving to their next designation. If you like the idea of being in and around water I hope this video gave you some good ideas…..

** A Side Note:  There are a few other cities in Florida and sorry, but I am not going to go into a part 2 or 3 for this state. The picture looks nice to visit, but the heat really isn’t drawing me there. I will list a few places and it will be up to you if you want more info and if one REALLY stands out to me. I will give more info.

A Q & A from Traveling Online….

I am still tripping over the fact that there are two Newarks? One is in Delaware and the one I know of is in New Jersey, and like most believed that was the only one. I am taking a side step on my traveling across America online to learn the difference between these two states..

It has been said, “One is never too old to learn,” or “we learn something new every day,” and the saying’s are endless….

{} Newark City in Delaware

Description: Newark is a small city in Delaware. It’s known for its green spaces, like Rittenhouse Park, with its trout-filled creek. Brandy Tronconi Photography

While walking in the town I live and travel through on a daily basis, I found a cute little boutique, Vloom, that I have never seen before and ate in a restaurant, Santa Fe, I have never been to.

Bloom is located at 165 east Main Street, Newark, Delaware. Website: www.bloomfolly.com facebook:@ bloomfolly Instagram: bloomdelaware. {}

#3 This video was real. She talked about the area, how it is and how it was and hopeful how it would return as she walked. She passed a church with no info, or words of any kind, and I almost stopped watching.

Well, I did stop the video, but clicked on play again. I did like the flow of what I had seen and was going to get over not knowing the answer to my question.

To my surprise I was “Happy” when she went into a little store called ‘Bloom’ that made me think of “Bell-books & Candles” from the TV series Good Witch. I may not never get to go there, but there is a website and I can’t wait to see if I like something worth buying. I am pretty sure I will…

**I was only going to do 2 videos on Newark Delaware, but I got in three. (yes, I watched a few others, but nothing worth watching twice). Time to go to Newark, New Jersey…

{} Newark  City in New Jersey                                 Description  – Newark is a New Jersey city, home to Newark Liberty International Airport. #4 This video didn’t need any  words to explain what was being shown and the soft music in the background was nice as I watched this city while I worked on my orange & blue project.

** I guess this is the only video I will post about Newark, NJ. It is true there are a few areas that aren’t good to live in, but I am sure there has to be some nice areas there too? I don’t really know, because this was the only video I found.

I should keep looking, but I am so over it. Let me recap on the differences between these two cities. Newark, DE looks to be a nice area to lose yourself in a nice walk through town and it felt welcome. One shouldn’t go to  Newark, NJ  unless they are used to walking into a Real world area.

📍Unforgettable Sedona experience must include spending time at internationally renowned Tlaquepaque (pronounced T-la-keh-pah-keh), Sedona Arizona’s Arts & Crafts Village, on of the best things to do in Sedona. Nestled beneath the shade of the sycamores on the banks of beautiful Oak Creek in Sedona, Tlaquepaque is the most distinctive Sedona shopping experience to be found in the Southwest. Authentically fashioned after a traditional Mexican village, Tlaquepaque, meaning the “best of everything,” has been a Sedona landmark since the 1970’s. Its vine covered stucco walls, cobble-stoned walkways and magnificent arched entryways give you the feeling that Tlaquepaque has been here for centuries. Tasteful galleries and unique shops live in harmony with its lush natural environment where giant sycamore trees stand in testimony to the care taken in preserving the timeless beauty of the Tlaquepaque grounds. It would be hard to find more beautiful surroundings anywhere to create a shopping experience like no other.

These are our favorite small towns in Arizona but there are many small towns that could be on this list and that’s why I am asking if you guys would like a Part 2 or even a Part 3. This list of small towns is from Northern Arizona, Central Arizona and Southern Arizona. Some of these small town tours you can do in a day trip some may require an overnight stay if you really want to relax. Also a few of these towns you can see in one trip. For example the Jerome, Cottonwood and Sedona trip can be done in one day if you leave early enough.                    {}
