I cannot believe I was looking at an old picture and I was about to cry. I don’t remember taking it, but the sight of me holding a tiny baby made me smile. I remember holding that baby, walking with him, rocking him softly to calm him down as he cried. I remember those dark eyes looking at me as he ate, lips curling into that happy baby smile everyone said was gas.
I turned my phone off, closed my eyes for a second, and then smiled knowing my little one isn’t so little anymore. He may not live in the same house as I do or even close by. I can call him, hear his voice or even look at him on the screen.
I am laughing, because if I ever had a need to see him as he is today in 2026 all I have to do is ask him to come over, and then I can hold my little one once again. I am now an empty nester. When I first heard that fraze I thought I can’t wait, because then I can live my life (still praying for my child’s good health, a calm mind, dreams coming true, a safe place to live, and someone who will Love and Fight for him) as I did before? I was wrong.
**side note – I came across my favorite movie. I saw this movie so many times, I can almost tell you word for word, and mute the parts I don’t like. This movie also makes me want to cry. Actually a few tears have already fallen and Sleepless in Seattle has only been on for 23 minutes.

I am now laughing, because my son can always make me smile. This movie makes me want to dream and set them free. On that thought let me get back to working on my book. I am aiming for August first.
