What is the amount of water you should drink each day? I was told I should drink half my body weight, or I should drink eight cups of water every day. Is that 8 oz, 12 oz, or a 20 oz cup you should drink? I have never liked drinking water 1 cup maybe, but more –
I now weigh 270 lbs. Yes, it’s a lot, but I am down 29 lbs in 6 months. Oops I got off of the subject. How much water would I need to drink if the water was in a 12 oz cup? Let me ask google another question.
Google did say you can drink 10 to 12 cups of water, but that is without food. There is water in food, so with that in mind. Here is a better answer to my question from google:
Practical breakdown
- Water from drinks : ~8–9 cups/day (2–3 liters)
- Water from food : ~2–3 cups/day (0.5–0.75 liters)
- Total fluids : ~10–12 cups/day
I couldn’t bring myself to drink another cup of water, so I bought a watermelon, and ate until I was full. Water is in the name watermelon, so technically I had at least three cups of water today. A little water is better than no water at all.
