A Patchwork Blanket….

Trying not to shop for yarn is harder than I thought it was going to be. Michael’s keeps sending me reminders of 40% off this week, last week was buy 1 get the 2nd Âœ off, and who knows what the next sale will be?

I decided to use up all of my unused yarn both scraps and full skeins of yarn. I have one, maybe two full blankets left. In other words, crocheting whatever piece of yarn I have left. I am working on a gray & pink blanket that I am calling a “patchwork blanket.”

Video #1 : I gave up on trying to follow. Her words were clear and I was able to do two rows, but that third row was a no go for me. I will try again.

I turned the tunsian knit stitch (the pink & gray together) into a triple stitch. I was going to post a video, but after watching what an actual triple crochet stitch looks like, I realized I didn’t actually do a normal triple stitch. 

The next box was done in tiny granny squares: pink and two shades of gray..

video # 5: The dark pink square was done in this basket weave stitch and I cannot wait to do a full size blanket in this stitch. I wonder how it would look using three or more colors?

I never know how big any of my blankets will be, because I keep crocheting  until I am either done with the yarn or the pattern I am working on.  I am going to keep on crocheting as many projects I can with what yarn I have until I can start selling them.

Hat Set Done…

I finally finished that hat and scarf set. True it wasn’t to my liking, but who am I? When I finally actually got in touch with my client, she told me she had changed the colors, but she liked what I did. I wanted to say, “I texted her a few times showing pictures, all with no response, and went with what I liked.” 

She actually wanted a black and yellow, but I couldn’t do the bumble bee look. I saw this mixed orange color yarn and fell in love with its colors. I had to add the black to give her almost the colors she wanted.

I WILL NEVER understand young people
..

I try thinking  back when I was young, and wonder if the words I spoke seem smart to me, but unclear to someone older?

What I thought was right, might not have been right, or at least Not totally right.

I listen to my young co-workers and want to scream, “calm down and slow down.” Spending a lot of money on a bag or a new pair of shoes, isn’t worth two pay checks or hanging out all night and being able to go to work the next day. 

  1. If you are not using that bag more than three times a week or it cannot hold much of anything. It’s not a good bag and you wasted your money. Unless you really have a good job and pay your own bills. Meaning the place where you call home.
  2. If you are out with your friends enjoying yourself, following the crowd with the drinks and what not. Okay, that’s cool, but if you are not in control of your body and have to call out for work. Be up front with it, because the same people you are calling your friends are at work telling all they know. You should also be aware you could lose your job and trust me when I say, “Those very people you call friends WILL NOT HELP YOU.

Okay, I am done trying to understand young people. They don’t want to listen to someone who has done that and wished someone had told me what I know now.

~ I got side tracked for traveling online.  I am going to get back to what I started months ago. Keeping one’s word is always the best. 

**It’s 4:04 pm and I have to go backtrack to the last place I visited. Be right back. hahahahaha  

 That didn’t take long. It’s 4:13 pm and I am off to Mississippi. I can’t wait to learn about this state.

~ Once again I got to asking google questions. I was trying to remember why I got to clicking, but an answer isn’t coming to me. Then I was thinking about trying to recreate a story line to what I had started and I am no way feeling that thought.

~ My next thought was to just copy and paste, so that’s what I am going to do. This may or may not be an interesting storyline, because my mind is so full of other things. 

** Side Note: I am VERY Happy to say, “I am actually working on my book again and have just under 20,000 words to cut and I am NOT going to stop until it’s done.

 The main reason why I am Not focusing on any new storylines. I do have a few others I have started working on and will post when they are ready.  As for now it’s copy & paste time
