A Retail Question

I know I am not alone working paycheck to paycheck ~ knowing it’s not fun to work paycheck to paycheck.  One does what one have to do in order to the pay their bills. If by chance one could get lucky and they like where they work all the better. Days turn into weeks and weeks into years and you start at asking questions like:

20190521_182035-collage-1

  1. Am I able to pay my household  bills?
  2. Am I able to go to the doctor, without being worried about going into debt.
  3. Am I enjoying life or am I just working just going through the motions?
  4. Am I happy?

These are questions I’ve been asking myself for the longest time. I can do more then what a paper says I can or cannot do. I have been working retail  for more than 10 years, but because I don’t have a piece of paper that says I can actually do this (Staging). I can’t actually get paid for doing this kind of job.

I have always wondered why companies don’t take life experience into account and not just a degree from a school? Maybe I’m just old and and don’t get this new age thinking?

So, I stepped out and did what I’ve been wanting to do forever, I gave my 2 weeks notice (even though I know I should have waited until I got another job), but sometimes you have to move fast or yourself doubts may come into effect.

You know when it’s time to step out and take a chance, because just barely paying the bills isn’t  getting anywhere. I’m done, been doing that for so long, and this is my time to move forward.

Another question: What’s the point in working and not getting anywhere?  Working for a company that says they care, but if you are struggling – open your eyes – and tell yourself “I can do better.” It’s time for me to be me.

I don’t know what I was doing or why I was going through YouTube? I decided to type in work at home. I know some are scams and was thinking ahead. If I find something I would go to the BBB and double check if its a real company. Saw a few, but nothing to make me go through that extra step.

Then one caught my attention about sending out short stories, true it’s nothing where you can pay a real bill, but maybe a move or two. The only thing is you have to type at least four thousand words.  I’m old school and can’t type that fast. Then was told about a microphone on Google.doc. I never noticed the microphone before and decided to try it. I’m talking right now, with my headphones on and watching these words come on screen.   I can do this and make a few dollars here and there. (Although you still have to reread your words and make it not a run on book. Maybe my next try will be better). Those few dollars can add up.

I’ve been wanting to go back to school, but have been allowing the world to have too much control over my thought. I’m going to do something for me no matter what and not be scared. I’m going to step up and out. If you don’t try, then how do you know you can’t do it? The word “can’t” shouldn’t be in your vocabulary.  I told my son at a early age don’t let anyone stop you from following your dreams. I’m going to take my advice and move forward.

A Bad Dream

“Walking n2 my new apt & there was a party.” Woke me up, because people was eating my food who didn’t help when there was a need. I do recall telling those people to cough up $20. & say there goodbyes.

This is one dream that Will Not come true, because these people (family or friend) will NOT be allowed through the door.

— its 3:15am time & I am yawning. Hopefully I can go back to sleep after this bad dream..

Pillows

When you are sleeping so deeply

                   you don’t realize

                    you are asleep.

                        Isn’t it sad

          when your pillow moves

                            and

            reality slowly steps in.

               You try to continue

                        your dream

                                 but

                   your mind won’t

                                 Stop

                      telling you it’s a

                              Dream.

               The longer you lay there

                                  awake

                     The longer you stop

                          remembering

                     that made up world.

                  Then you sit up quickly,

                 grab a pen, and notebook.

You hold the pen as if you

                          are going to write

                                 about that

                                 wonderful

                                    Dream.

                            Only to realize

                        you cannot find the

                         words to describ

                             your dream.

                 You are slowly forgetting

                       that time when you

                                 was free.

                          Free of worries

                            Free of stress

                          Free of pain

                              Free to be happy

                      Then you tell yourself

                    the next time I remember

                                 a cool dream.

Instead of trying to get back

                               into that world.

You are going to get up

                              and write down

                               Every feeling

                               Every thought

                             and the storyline

                         And maybe just maybe

                                You can find a

                           pillow that doesn’t

.                                     Move

.                        and you can continue

                         to enjoy a restful night

                                      as well as

                                          your

                                        dream.

                                            The

                                                 End!

Just Being Me

Don’t you love it when people tell you.

What you should do…

When you should do it…

Was surprised I wasn’t told how to do it…

The funny thing is they don’t know how to crochet, so they don’t know how long it takes to work on a blanket.

I just smile, stop trying to defend myself, and continue to be the best I can be..

In the end that’s all I can do..

Thinking Out Loud!

Emotions…

___

By Lisa Danielle

INTRODUCTION

When something good or bad things  happens we all go through strong emotions. If it’s something upsetting one could  stay in control or one could lose focus allowing ones bad feelings to take over them. Emotions are strong feelings and its how we handle them shows how strong or how weak we are?

Emotions:

A textbook definition of the word “emotions” could means:

  1. Happy          – When a child receives a new toys  he or she express a joyous laugh you can hear and maybe a smile you can see how “happy” they are.
  2. Sadness       – When your team loses their ballgame. Feelings are hurt yes, but if one played with all their hearts and gave it their best. These feelings will pass and new plans are being prepared to win the next one.
  3. Grateful.     – When someone does something nice for you. You are happy and blessed to know someone cares.
  4. Ignored       – One is overly tired and wish to be alone, but one has to get through the day with others around them. Some can hide their feelings (and get through their day) and others have a look that says, “step away from me.”
  5. Upset/Mad – When you see “red,” and want to charge at everything in your path and before you could blink you have lost control of who you are. Bad news, hurtful words, and rude people can be the cause, but only you can overcome these feelings. And, think about how good it feels when people see their words and actions has no effect on you.
  6. Joy                – Another word for being “Happy.”
  7. LOVE            – Love is the STRONGEST and MOST  IMPORTANT Emotion of all, because Love overrides sadness of a lost, overrides bad and hurtful feelings, and Love can bring a smile to others when all they want to do is cry.
  8. Forgiveness/Thankful – Two more words for, “Love.”
  9. Blessed/Blessing – Someone has helped you and you play it forward and help someone else.
  10. Satisfied – You cross your finish line and you feel good about your accomplishment.

In The End..

True there are countless more names and feelings for emotions. Who has the time or energy  to go through them all. These feelings can make you want to sing and dance, or run and hide, and get loud and fight.

We all have these emotions and go through them a different way. I may close my eyes and think about my blessings (Jesus, my child, my life, and a handful of people I know who truly cares for me) and I can truly smile again.

I also  like “Words,” and I find myself calming down or slowing down when I am reading (The Bible) or writing down my feelings or expressing them in a different form?

Closing Thoughts.

A deep breath and a happy smile from me. I was upset, but those feelings has passed. And, I can look forward to a restful sleep.

Holding  onto bad thoughts leaves one feeling hurt and in pain and how can one enjoy a good night’s dream with strong feelings clouding one’s mind? I had to forgive and let go (even when a friend ended my trust and now is just a passing friend now). I am moving forward and Not letting my past hurts hold me down or interrupting my dream again. “I hope I am not alone?
