Part 1: More Than a Flea Market..

Photo by Ricky Esquivel on Pexels.com

Thinking outside of the box can be interesting as well as a lot of work. It has been said, ā€œanything worth having, is worth fighting for, and working hard to set that dream free.ā€ I know I got that quote wrong, but the meaning is still there.

When I think about selling my projects online the cost :

  1. Website
  2. Name
  3. Packaging
  4. Shipping & Handling
  5. Credit Card payments
  6. Safe gardening yourself and your customers

Then I am wondering how I can make this more personal? I am mostly crocheting for myself, because I Really enjoy doing it. I also like to shop and there have been countless times when I saw an item, but didn’t care for the color. I would think, ā€œtoo bad it’s not my size or the right color?ā€

I cannot be the only one who thinks like this when they are shopping for a special event or just looking and something catches your eyes. The unexpected item is always  the best item to buy.

I was thinking about the farmers market and realized I can sell my projects at a flea market. I could also have cards made out and then people can request a personal blankets I can crochet for them.

This site gave me some good advice and I was thinking about signing up for its program. There were a lot of good reviews, and I was a little curious what its rating was on BBB?

No answer there, but yet another question. Skynova doesn’t have an address, but a p.o box number. That got me thinking..

Question : If a company has a PO Box address is it a real company?

Does your company need a business address, virtual address, or PO Box? By Kathryn Pomroy July 19, 2019

Video # 3: I may have to rewatch this, because I didn’t get an answer to the title’s question.

I didn’t realize how one answer to one question has opened the door to many more questions. Then again it is best to have answers for every angle to an important question, until every question has been answered.

It never crossed my mind to use my home address when I start my business and was considering using a PO box address, but I now know a PO box address isn’t for a business.

Looking into – a virtual mailbox and a UPS mailbox for business is going to take some more time looking into. To think I got these new questions waiting to know more about selling my crochet items at a flea market.

It’s time to get back to crocheting……

Young People…

Photo by EVG Kowalievska on Pexels.com

I WILL NEVER understand young people…..

I try thinking  back when I was young, and wonder if the words I spoke seem smart to me, but unclear to someone older?

What I thought was right, might not have been right, or at least Not totally right.

I listen to my young co-workers and want to scream, ā€œcalm down and slow down.ā€ Spending a lot of money on a bag or a new pair of shoes, isn’t worth two pay checks or hanging out all night and being able to go to work the next day.

  1. If you are not using that bag more than three times a week or it cannot hold much of anything. It’s not a good bag and you wasted your money. Unless you really have a good job and pay your own bills. Meaning the place where you call home.
  2. If you are out with your friends enjoying yourself, following the crowd with the drinks and what not. Okay, that’s cool, but if you are not in control of your body and have to call out for work. Be up front with it, because the same people you are calling your friends are at work telling all they know. You should also be aware you could lose your job and trust me when I say, ā€œThose very people you call friends WILL NOT HELP YOU.

Okay, I am done trying to understand young people. They don’t want to listen to someone who has done that and wished someone had told me what I know now.

Cinnamon Water……

Photo by Geraud pfeiffer on Pexels.com

I am obsessed with cinnamon water. I know that sounds a little strange. Everyone I have told this to, all have made an ill facial expression. They ask why are you drinking cinnamon water? Yes, cinnamon water tastes really – really good whether it’s hot or cold.

When I was looking up new ways to drink water, because I just don’t like drinking water. I came across cinnamon water. I’m like who would drink cinnamon water?  I was thinking cinnamon powder in water would look totally disgusting, but what about using a cinnamon stick instead?

The first time I tried cinnamon water. I boiled the water like you would do tea, a cinnamon stick in place of a tie bag, and hope for the best.

Someone suggested adding honey and that would be hot cinnamon tea. I tried it, it was way ~ way too sweet, and I couldn’t drink it. I added a piece of ginger in hope I would like it better. I realized hot cinnamon tea doesn’t really work for me.

Another good use for the cinnamon stick is pineapple. How to make cinnamon pineapple tea:

  1. Wash and cut the pineapple. Leaving some fruit. I also add the core of the pineapple and the fruit is a good snack or toppings for a salad.
  2. Add pineapple in either a tea pot or a pot of water, filled water to the top, and then add a cinnamon stick.
  3. If you like a little spice, you can add a fresh piece of ginger.
  4. Strain the pineapple and cinnamon stick
  5. Add honey, {if you like it sweeter} but to me it’s sweet enough.
  6. E.N.J.O.Y

The question was why would you drink cinnamon water? I couldn’t recall all of the goodness in this tasty drink.

What are the benefits? ā€œAdding cinnamon to your water is not only hydrating and delicious, it can also supply an array of health benefits, such as: delivering antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anticancer properties, supporting heart health, lowering cholesterol, and potentially aiding in weight loss,ā€ says Poon.Aug 1, 2021)

There may be more ways to drink cinnamon water than these two ways. I like the pineapple cinnamon tea hot and the cinnamon water cold.

After a short 35 minute walk around the neighborhood, it’s nice to have a nice cold glass of cinnamon water, while I watch anime, and maybe think of a new crochet project…

Just Laugh….

Photo by Andrea Piacquadio on Pexels.com

I have never been a competitive person, I do my best to not only finish what I started, and to do my best at whatever it is I am doing.

I sent out a friendly challenge to family and friends (whom I thought wanted to improve their health by losing a few extra unwanted pounds)and challenged them to be more motivated.

I kept things simple by going for a walk, light dancing , and even posting a few exercise videos. I got replies like: ā€œAre you really doing everything you are posting?ā€ ā€œWhy are you posting this?ā€

Needless to say, I stopped posting for a while. Then I realized who I was and started posting once again. I am doing this for myself and I don’t need anyone else’s approval.

I then challenged myself to keep on being the person I want to be:

  • I am Loved.
  • I believe in myself.
  • I am someone Special…
  • I will continue to be me…
  • I have Faith and Know where I stand…
  • I can do more than what people think I can do.
  • I will NOT let anyone STOP me from being a better me…………

When it’s all said and done, how can you Not Laugh, because you are LIVING YOUR LIFE THE BEST AS YOU CAN. Those who do see that or don’t want you to see it are frowning every time their unwanted words are NOT being acknowledged.

One More Cup of Water….

Photo by Towfiqu barbhuiya on Pexels.com

I have never been the one who likes to drink water. I know it’s good for me, but I still have to figure out more creative ways to drink it. Hot or cold, inside and outside of your body, we all need water.

I have started adding pineapples to my water with something with ginger or cucumbers. I read about adding cilantro as well. I haven’t tried this yet, but I can’t wait to see if it tastes as good as the other two.

I know this may sound a little crazy, but drinking hot water is actually good as well. I can actually sip on it as I read and drink a full cup. Well, if I am not thinking too hard about it.

I will continue to look for better ways to drink more water as well as drink what I need to be a better me. This love and hate for water will NOT stop me from drinking it.  I am still looking for better ways to drink more water:

Just one cup at a time…..
