Time IV COFFEE!!!!

Time IV Coffee & Anime!

Which coffee will I be drinking today? My favorite brand is Kahlua, but this new flavor has a hint of chocolate which I don’t really care for in my coffee. I may add a little cinnamon to help cover that taste.

Or

Folgers is my second favorite brand of coffee. I have never tried this Colombian coffee.

I will step out into a new taste and go with Folgers. I hope it is as good as it smelled through the package.

May your day start out with a good cup of coffee or hot tea..

Etsy or Not?

My research for setting my dream free. I will sell my crochet projects and bring in enough money to save. I like to travel, not be stressed about a bill, and to stop working so hard with no enjoyment in it. I also don’t want to be working until I am dead, because I have nothing saved for when I can barely walk.

  1. https://www.fundera.com/blog/etsy-alternatives  – I was wondering if there were other sites like Etsy.com that could be better. I got my answer. The other site had some good and a lot of bad that kept me turning back to Etsy. Although Etsy cost a little more and I may not be able to break even, it still seems like the best of them all. (6/20/2021)
  2. https://articles.bplans.com/4-mistakes-that-will-tank-your-etsy-store/  (6/22/2021) – Check List: 1. Take clear pictures. White background was suggested, but I feel that is a little too impersonal . I do agree pictures should be clear and items displayed up front. 2. Describe items  with heart, but not too long. Ex. Wrong – A light blue baby blanket with its size. Right – A multi colors & design baby blue crochet blanket.  Esty offers a guide to give you better ideas on what to say and you can even look at others who have had success with their site. 3. In order to sell your product people have to find you. Your words have to stand out for others and it goes beyond just having an etsy acc. You have to promote your items from a blog to even a facebook page. (some has gone on youtube and maybe one day I will join them, but NOT right now) Etsy also has a guide where they will help you not only to understand how ESO works, but help you use it to build your site. 4. You have to have a good niche, because there are others who are selling the same items as you are. How are you going to stand out and how are you going to get people to see and buy your items over someone else’s.  Plus you need to do as much research as you can not only with the site that you are going to be working with, but on how others are working their site, and make a plan on every detail before you get started.  This was most helpful and I can’t wait to get started on my list.
  3. https://www.dollarbreak.com/etsy-review/  (6/22/2021) – This site didn’t tell me anything new other than ‘Big Cartel’, which is another online site where you can sell handmade items. That was only an outlook, so it’s time to go to the next step, because Etsy may be good for promoting crafty ideas, but they charge for every little thing.

In the end I couldn’t even get anything other than pictures, prices on BigCartel.com, so I am going to leave this alone. I clicked on etsy and crochet items came up quickly.

  1. https://cedcommerce.com/blog/is-selling-on-etsy-worth-it (6/22/2021) – Nothing new….
  2. https://www.forafinancial.com/blog/industries-we-serve/pros-cons-starting-etsy-store/ (6/22/2021) – Pointed out how much money etsy wants from posting on their site to the cost of each sale every 4 months. It was also stated that one should have a lot of items already made just in case more than 1 person  wants to buy the same item.

I almost forgot about youtube. I can have someone answer my questions about Etsy as I continue to work on my multi color V project.

  1. https://youtu.be/JtjcEJqmAnE   – WALES IS ETSY WORTH IT IN 2021? WHAT ARE THE PROS AND CONS OF STARTING  AN ETSY SHOP IN  Jan 20, 2021?

The Eco Tree  –  Is Etsy worth it in 2021? What are the pros and cons of starting an ETSY shop in 2021? Is it good to sell on or is it too saturated?  (6/22/2021) was the BEST info I got today so far…

  1. https://youtu.be/TdjkcaF7Ec0 My ETSY SHOP JOURNEY/ why I closed the shop • Apr 7, 2021  The Eco Tree  My Etsy shop journey, why I closed the shop and when it will reopen. (6/22/2021)
  2. https://youtu.be/TF3OCa6-8nw Etsy Banned My Account// Why I left Etsy… (New WEBSITE LAUNCH!!!) (6/22/2021) wow – I REALLY wouldn’t want this to happen to me, for I have VERY little money, and for a company to just close your acc without giving you your money back is a big no-no!

I was trying to add at least 5 videos so I could get a better idea on Etsy, but it’s way too much trouble. Then again it is after 12pm and I haven’t had a chance to get a cup of coffee. I am also sad I missed service today (well, since it is online I will click on it later.)

Even though I wasn’t supposed to go through each post in one day, so I can have a clear thought on each one. I couldn’t stop, because I want to know if I can actually sell my crochet projects.

I also realized why I  started my website. I didn’t want to just sell items I already made, but make items people may want. Yes, it may take up to two months or less to make, (depending on what it is they want & if I have the yarn to make it) but it would be more personal.

I really don’t like being in a crowd. Someone who has to fight and scream to be noticed. The question I am asking myself is: How much would it cost to get my website up & running  properly as well as my blog?

I want to create and I want to do it my way. That may be the wrong attitude, but it is how I am feeling. It is just like working a dead end job, with NO HOPE FOR A FUTURE, (which is what I am doing right now. Yes I am grateful for a job, but as a female over 50)  I WANT MORE!!

I am ready to Fight for MORE!!!!

A Smile from a Mistake..

Changing how one thinks and acts is hard, but it can be done. Setting an idea in place without doing the work may work out for the best, but that thin line can easily be broken. The question that you have to ask yourself, ‘is this going to break me or is this going to make me work harder to set it right?’ and your answer will set your steps.

I LOVE to create and thought how sweet it would be if I could talk about my craft and sell it all in one place. What better way to do that is having my own website, but not really liking the computer world and NO ONE willing to help (without me spending a week’s paycheck) I am going to be realistic now and pull the plug on my website. I am NOT willing to give up my name Krochetcafe.com, so I will keep the name.

I have heard of Etsy.com and shopify.com, but I don’t feel they are right for me. I have talked with a few people who have and had worked on these sites and they have talked about the good and bad things.

I guess that is when I thought I should just have my own website and get past those negative thoughts. I may not be able to keep my site up and running, but who knows what tomorrow will bring. I WILL NEVER GIVE UP!!!!

Then I got to thinking. Are there any other sites that I could sell my crochet projects on? I am not going to give up on Etsy, because it didn’t work for someone else. I am NOT them. Here is  google’s answer to my question:

I plan on doing a lot more research and when I take my next step it won’t be with luck on my side, but knowledge this time around. Whoever said, “The more you know – The more you grow?”

UGH, another question and I want an answer. Google is so good at finding answers.

{} Aristotle  – Aristotle famously wrote, “The more you know, the more you realize you don’t know.” . Feb 20, 2019 {}

I guess all of my words didn’t come from Aristotle, but I like mine better hahaha

I am done with my quick thoughts, because I am going to get a cup of coffee and get to reading about my new project. Any mistake you can learn and grow from, is worth a Smile to set that mistake right.

A Little Space Please….

Photo by Sound On on Pexels.com

People never seem to amaze me? Yes, I take out my headphones to greet you and ask how you are and talk for a few minutes. That is cool, but when you see me put my headphones back into my ears, sit down, and take out my crochet project.

Photo by Anete Lusina on Pexels.com

That doesn’t mean you keep talking to me and get closer so I know you are talking to me and then be confused when I give you a dirty look.

People just, because you see someone else in the breakroom – doesn’t mean they have to talk to you. Give people space and if they want to talk – they will talk – and if not, ignore them as they are trying to ignore you….

Although I do eat a little seafood maybe twice a month. I am Smiling as I think about the possibilities. It is no surprise, because I Love Ms. Kardea Brown has a show on food network called  “Delicious Miss Brown.”

This brief info from Google didn’t make me want to go visit, but then again it was short. I am going to hunt around youtube and see what I can see…

{}https://youtu.be/E0ISqLaZ68k I drove through downtown Atlanta, Georgia. This is what I saw • May 23, 2021.

  Nick Johnson

Downtown Atlanta was so empty. Why??

For this edition of dashboard tours, I took I-85 north from Alabama into the heart of it all – Atlanta Georgia. The plan was to record the downtown Atlanta area, a metro area that I had only seen from the window of a car. I was lucky – Atlanta traffic ranks as the fourth worst in the country. But because of a global pandemic, i was able to scoot into downtown with hardly a backup at all. It was Thursday, January 7, 2021 at about 2:39 pm.{}

#1  I liked the information at the start of this video and the music as he drove around the town.  I did see a few places I like to have a second look at. One of the biggest Ferris wheel  https://www.skyviewatlanta.com  I have ever seen. After I saw Metro Cafe https://www.metrocafediner.com/  I realized I forgot to get my coffee. I saw  a blue sign “Rialto,”  and I couldn’t wait  to find out what it was. It is an art center  https://rialto.gsu.edu.

Side note – I am not sure why there are two dates, but other than that. I wanted to correct the mistake I saw in his description of this video, but I didn’t. Not that big of a deal. I enjoyed watching this video as I worked on my baby blue project…

#3  I was right about Tybee Island, but it wasn’t until I saw this video that gave me more information about the place. I almost didn’t watch this video, because it started off by talking about ghosts. I thought that is all of what the video was going to be about. I am glad I was wrong. There was so much information within this video, I would like to go and visit Savannah Ga. I am thinking when would the best time to go..

I had to ask Google – when are there less people in Savannah, Ga to visit, but I couldn’t get an answer to that question. Then I saw this article – 10 Things to know before you arrive in Savannah by: IHG hotel & resorts.  https://www.ihg.com/
