A TLC Moment….

Had a “TLC” moment today. For those who are not fullmer with the trio of young ladies group in the 80s. I don’t recall the song, but it was the one where the guy sitting in the passenger seat of a car trying to holler at the girl…. (Now that I am no longer on my phone, let me Google that title of that song) ā€œN0 Scrubsā€ a very COOL song….

Well, I never thought that could happen, and to happen to me had me in a “WOW” moment. If this is what make-up does (I don’t normally wear it), I may never wear it again.

1st co-worker : Did you go out last night or put on make-up this morning?

Me(frowning) : No I got up at 5am as I do every work day..

I had to cut my words short, because she isn’t from America and keeps saying rude things. I like to believe she doesn’t know she is being rude. I am just going to have to remember to keep words short and sweet with her.

I closed my eyes  a second before I walked away from her, and smiled. I added some color to my face today, because 1. I am a girl and it’s allowed. 2. I wanted a new look.  (one day I am going to learn how to put it on correctly)  Well, it’s time to get back to my next crochet project…

Online Traveling #1 : Alabama

I have always wanted to travel, but I am going to start being honest with myself. I may NOT be able to visit other States across my homeland, but that doesn’t mean I cannot see them.

I am in a new age where anywhere can be seen online and one can set their dreams free if ā€œThey just Change how they look out into the world,ā€ so here I  go looking at the World with new eyes.

I will start with  Alabama and go from there….

(I wanted to add a picture, but I got to thinking about what is copyright and what is free? I will come back to this or not – )

Alabama –  US State

Description

Alabama is a southeastern U.S. state that’s home to significant landmarks from the American Civil Rights Movement. The city of Birmingham’s 16th Street Baptist Church, now a museum, was a protest headquarters in the 1960s. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s church and the Rosa Parks Museum, dedicated to the activist, can be found in the capital of Montgomery. ― Google

**A Side Note: This idea came from me watching a video on youtube of New York City and I thought I could watch a video on other States as I continue to work on my baby blue blanket (which I am almost done with) and get a feel for the State.

However that isn’t what I saw. The first thing that came to mind was, ā€œthis State LOVES its football,ā€ and this wasn’t what I was looking for.

Then I noticed ā€œThe do’s and don’tā€ video and thought that was a good idea. I got to copying and pasting and then saw the copyright sign. My first thought was to get in contact with them and ask them if I could add their story to mind.

That was a Big ā€œNOā€ from me. I knew if I had to stop and wait for an answer I had to stop writing and by the time I got an answer I would have moved past this story.

~ So, I am going to first look for another video that may showcase this state, and go from there…..

šŸ’™ šŸ’™ Now this is what I was looking for. This video may not have had the music or the names of all the areas that were seen. This video was like seeing the state as if you were driving through the streets of Birmingham Alabama and that is what you were doing.

I felt as if I was there (although I would have had some music in the background, but that maybe just me) and it was cool.

As the driver got closer to what I was really curious to know what those large poles were that were on the right side of the driver as they drove past a street sign that read: 12 Ave N. was it a baseball field or maybe a golf course?

It’s Google map’s time. I have an address so – Still don’t know what I saw. It’s okay, I am now over it.  I thought I would add some history to this, but then I remembered I didn’t like doing that while I was in school and I am NOT about to do that now. Besides, I am not writing a history report or acting as a tour guide. (Feel free to look up all the info you want to look up online or your local library)

I just want to look at places that make up America and who knows maybe another state may catch my attention and I would like to know more about it. Until then it’s time to get back to my blanket….

Just have to add a border and this project will be done….

Changing How I Move…

Okay, I changed my mind about walking outside in the cold (way 2 sleepy & my mind is on my next project) I decided to dance. I sometimes talk 2 fast & say the 1st thing out of my head, (not always a good thing) because when I told a friend I started dancing again and said, “it’s not what you are thinking”. I had to go back and apologize, because not all guys have a dirty mind.

I only got through 30mins (I WILL GET BACK N SHAPE 1 DAY), but this is a good tired feeling.. I remembered the 1st time I tried this dvd I could only do 10mins.

I am going to fix a cup of hot tea and work out a plan to get me moving at least 30mins everyday to be a better me.

Changing how I eat won’t do any good unless I change how I move.

More the an Anime..

I am watching a new anime ā€œB_ack C_over,ā€ and I was going to add a picture and info about the creator, but going through (what is and isn’t copyright) so I am not giving the full name of the show or any pictures.

This story talks about NOT giving up on your dreams and Not letting others stop that dream.

They may have to go through a battle both on the battlefield, through family, and people who could have been your friend.

Is this just like reality? No one wants to be alone and one has to go through a lot of people to find a true friend. One shouldn’t accept a person by blood, classmates, or the workforce.

A friend is someone who truly cares for you, encourages you to be better, and helps you Smile when you are feeling sad. Who says watching anime isn’t good for you.

The End of James..

Dear James,

I do believe in giving a person a second chance, but I also believe in living in reality and knowing when to let go. I try to find the good in all, because no one is born to be a one sided person .

I  am NOT going to apologize for putting my feelings first, because if I don’t, who will? A few months ago I told you I was done, but I went back on my word.

I couldn’t see myself giving up on a person I have known for over twenty years. Then I stopped making excuses and actually started listening between the lines and I realized you are NOT REAL.

I lost count of how many times I have told you, ā€œI am not allowing anyone to put poison in my body,ā€ and yet you haven’t done it.

I tell you I am beyond tired and didn’t feel like talking and you send me an angry text talking about how you needed my advice and how I wasn’t being a friend.

I am not upset with you, because you are just being you. It takes more than one person to be called a friend. What do you call a friend? Two or more people who:

  1.   Likes the same things you do
  2.   Care about each other’s feeling
  3.   Will help each other in anyway they can
  4.   Who knows you and how you feel about certain things
  5.   They also know what you dislike and if it’s different from how you feel, they will not bring it up in your presence.
  6.  They will want the best for you and NOT try to bring you down.
  7.  They will be the first to stand with you, when trouble comes to push you back, and they know you will do the same for them.
  8. They will not only laugh with you, but be there to let you cry on their shoulder.
  9. They know what to say or do to make you Smile, when all you want to do is cry.
  10. A person who becomes more than just a ā€œFriend,ā€ but becomes ā€œFamilyā€.

When it comes down to what is at the base of  ā€œA True Friendā€ is trust.

Then there is the passing friend. A person who if you saw on the street  you will greet with a smile, but you keep it moving. They may have been close to you at one time, but somewhere they lost your trust.

You know you cannot let that person within your circle again. This way you could still be polite, to the person that was once called your friend, and keep it moving.

James, I had  tried to start over, but it takes two people to start over. I even overlooked the times when you were rude and not one encouraging word when I told you how I was going to take a chance on setting my dreams free. You passed by that and wanted me to do something for you.

I can honestly SMILE now, because I can truly let go and not feel bad about it. I am left alone without anyone else to really talk to, but was I really talking to you or just answering your questions?

Be safe and Good – Bye..

It isn’t easy to let go of a long time friendship, but as I read over my words. I know it takes two people to be friends and I am and will always be TRUE to MYSELF***
